I love this series. I will certainly never forget that the galactic distribution of a hydrogen is like a dosa. Professor Srinivasan: the best way to show a dot product in most MS applications is with "\cdot". If you're writing in a text area (i.e. not an equation field) you will need to be sure that the application allows you to include math autocorrect strings in regular text. That option can be selected at File/Options/Proofing/AutoCorrect/MathAutoCorrect in Word. HTH.

A magnificent description of Einstein's stimulated emission, its relevance to the statical physics, lasers and Astrophysics. A lot of hard work went into this lecture--a model of clarity and insight. "Its raining on Orion!" What a nice introduction to the 21 cm astronomy--starting from Fermi's hyperfine splitting. A lot of basic classical E&M, quantum mechanics and statistical physics are explained on the way in a superbly clear and interesting manner: a long but a captivating tour.
