Luke - Pro tip on curing hiccups. Breath out as much as you can, then take the deepest breath you can and then hold it for as long as possible while sitting or standing straight up. When you breath out your hiccups will be gone. You can also eat a big spoon of peanut butter and it'll do the same thing physiologically.

A tip I heard recently is to be confident, but don't expect too much from yourself. Also, don't think of ranked as hundreds or thousands of matches, think of it as one long match. You didn't lose, you're just a few goals behind.

Me and my best friend recently picked up and now play Rocket league together most of the time and we're playing 2s in Gold and I'm always baffled that one of the opponents is constantly being the permagoalie. Sometimes they'll creep up to just before the midfield but still in their half and wait for an opportunity just to rush back to their net as soon as we have possession but most of the time they're just chilling in net and catching our shots. It's really frustrating because we always have to 2v2 when we're attacking and they're defending BUT they're also not getting a goal because they let their teammate basically 1v2 the whole time which is way worse. A lot of the times this also unfortunately results in us not being able to get back to our goal and them just hitting a goal simply by defending their net when they're actually working together 2v2 in their half, so I don't really know if that's just the better strat at our level and I'm actually being the idiot here. But I'd personally feel like an ass for letting my friend 1v2 our opponents constantly just watching and sitting in our net. That's not fun. Recently we've somewhat adapted and when we're getting out of defense and my mate has the ball and we're on the attack for example, I'll just demo the permagoalie. He wins or loses the 1v1 and either scores or I'm available and follow up. Funny enough most of the times we do this and demo the permagoalie they'll insert themselves more and actually start playing as well instead of basically being afk in the net waiting for their teammate to fail.

Not gonna lie.. I legit know how to get rid of hiccups 100% of the time. What's even more crazy is the fact I figured it out on my own. I've shown several people who didn't believe I knew how to get rid of hiccups and now they're also able to do the same thing whenever they're dealing with hiccups. You have to get down on the floor almost as if you're curling up in a ball with your shins/knees on the floor. You then take a very deep breath and hold your breath. While holding your breath with your lungs filled up to maximum capacity, take very small and short baby breaths. But when you do take a small baby breath, do your best to only allow maybe 5% of the air in your lungs to come out. As soon as you do let 5% of your air out immediately breath in again to where your lungs are completely full again. I know this sounds crazy or that it won't work, but it honestly does. I wouldn't have spent 10 minutes typing all this if it were lies. Once you figure out how to do it the first time, you'll be able to get rid of hiccups whenever you want within 10-20 seconds. 😎

This is about hiccups lol Just a quick tip for anyone who didnt know this. (Kinda funny im saying this under a rocket league tips video but its good info lol) If youre a mad savage, you can force your brain to remove your hiccup, since hiccups are a malfunction of your brain, when it thinks you have water in your lungs and tries to remove it. So if you manifest reality hard enough (like thinking “yo im good this is just in my brain”), ive heard hiccups go away. But the real life saver is drinking water. Not chugging liters, but slowly sipping water, especially if you slightly lean forward from your hips. Holding you breath or having someone else scare you are popular methods as well, i just stick to slowly sipping water. Hope this helped, great video by the way!

If you're going for an all or nothing save, you can use boost during supersonic to get a very slight increase in speed. Say an opponent is pushing the ball into your net and you need to get there as fast as possible to make it in time. Only use it as a last resort, most of the time you should be fast enough.

Excellent points, I learnt a lot! I have one issue though. I feel like boosting and then pressing the brakes can be done if you're going to fake the opponent. This is because boost is easier for them to see and implies more of a commitment.

My hiccup fix that never fails. Do these steps: 1. Exhale as much as you can. Empty your lungs completely. 2. Then immediately inhale to fill your lungs as much as possible. 3. With your lungs full of air, hold your breath for as long as you can. When exhaling the hiccups are usually gone for me. Sometimes I have to do this twice.

the tip for just playing for rank is so true. have fun while playing, you will enjoy it much better, and simple mistakes won't bug you. Have a goal set in mind (for me it's gc rn - I'm c3 D3 so it's a reasonable goal), for you, try to aim 1 rank ahead. Be confident with your games. And remember, 1 loss is nothing, you have the whole season ahead of you. What you do today doesn't matter, what you do this month/week does matter.

If your TM are doing a lot of inexperienced play. Tell them that you watched this and the information you have learnt is going to make you improve in rank and you want them to develop with you. If you are a better player than them and see what they are doing wrong. By not telling them, theyre holding you back. Telling them will be good for you all.

Thanks for the rocket league tips. Here's a pro tip to deal with toxic hiccups; 1. Take in a full breath of air. 2. Fill your mouth with more air and swallow it into your lungs. Do this 1-3 times so your lungs are fully inflated. It shouldn't hurt, but you should feel the pressure. 3. Hold your breath until you get close to your limit. 4. Calmly open your airway while keeping yourself from breathing out. 5. Breathe out slowly over the course of 5-10 seconds, find the pace that works for you. Slower is generally better. It may take more than one attempt, but it is by far the best method I've found to deal with hiccups. Good luck!
