@@somegirl9055 Seeing an Is-7 is a fking nightmare itself. The first time it was released, The fking thing trash my entire team with it holding 2 of the points alone. I only killed it by chance. You cant view and see the armor pattern of event vehicle at the time so it was guessing where to shoot. That and I never encountered any IS-3+ at the time.

Speaking of french tanks, I was fighting against a once-in-a-blue-moon french majority enemy team a week ago and I have never seen such aggression and blood lust in warthunder. I saw two Maus's getting evaporated instantly against french autoloaders and a whole flank of centurions and caernarvon getting absolutely folded by amx13-90s and lorraines. Strangely enough it was an enjoyable game since little if any french players switched to playing CAS, just had to survive against entrenched lines of autoloading Somosa SM's and lorraines flanking like hellcats on crack.

Attempt/Day #28: KV-2 (ZiS-6), the 107mm has just about twice as much explosive filler as an IS-2, with the tradeoff of slightly less pen, still able to UFP a panther. The armor can save you but shouldn’t be relied on as it is the standard 75mm. Mobility is average for a KV.

I think that the IS 7 should be researchable. When it was available in the event , there weren't many players who received it . Gaijin could do something similar to the Maus Tank , making it researchable for a certain amount of time each year .

Hey spooks thanks for another banger of yours, Heres a tank that another viewer requested and that got me to: the STA-1/STA-2 (they function the same) Having played them both these are very refreshing to use, they have decent mobilty, neutral steering, a decent reverse gear of 17 kph and M82 APHE at 6.3

As much as I love them, they are still insanely outclassed at 6.3, especially when facing an uptier. I love the 6.3 lineup dont get me wrong(Mostly bc Big derp Gun and funni overtiered plane) but the STA's definitely need a bit of love by Gaijin and get moved to at least 6.0 sinces theyre both essentially a worse Pershing

The IS7 was pretty much invulnerable to any western tank at the time it was made, but the advent of recoilless rifles and HEAT launchers made infrantry the largest threat to the IS7. So, I’m guessing they just decided to slap a lot of machine guns on as a result.

seen the is7 a surprising amount lately, just quit playing france 7.3 and 7.7 for now cause its maddening to have to be lucky on a flank while super heavies with light tank mobility can just hold W and go through you and your entire team with no thought, no consideration nor any shame cause too many people would just outright cheat if they could without risk of consequences, 279 is a way to do that, its a powertrip. anyways atleast when i actually feel like playing this scam of a game its the full french 8.3 lineup which atleast kind of has proper spaa, specifically to counter cas and 279/t55am1. funny that its still a horror game cause i still have to ambush, snipe or generally catch them unaware cos of their mobility, stab and superior firepower. glancing blows on the 279 never work either of course even with darts. not to mention flanking and stalking vehicles for a long while just to get picked off by some atgm heli 3-5km away or strafed out till unavoidable death. thanks for playing this so we dont have to, thanks for the videos.

It's always hard to counter Cas or an obj 279. Cas even when you kill them half the time they get to drop their bombs anyways or when you shoot the tail rotor off a helicopter and it perfectly stabilizes to missile spam you (Even though Heli's cannot do that.). The object 279 is also just as hard to counter simply because Gajin refuses to let that thing lose. It's immune to bombs, immune to most physical forms of damage, and is almost impossible to track. The 279 might have had one sheet of paper that said it could survive a nuke. Though even then it wasn't directly in the nuke.

@@aiedenoldstien9751 exactly, especially cas, its this great equalizer that lets every moron and their petty 2 braincells get free kills for spamming spacebar at what may aswell be ants to pilots. especially cancerous when you get the drop on a bushed up object 279 who is 5-9 kills in, just for them to come back in a il28, heli or su11(?). you can do everything right with a vehicle like the lorraine 40t or char 25t or any of the american heavies that just shouldnt realistically be able to kill any 279 with brain matter and then still get punished. same goes for all vehicles, got the drop on a tiger 2h in a comet? time to get strafed to death, flank and ruin a vidar with a amx13 or m26? time to get bombed or rocket'ed or gunpod'ed by that one swedish jet. god its such retarded game design, if it can be considered a game.

As you've experienced, the XM-1 (GM and Chrysler) are essentially light tanks with thin armor (even in downtiers against heat slingers, solid AP or APHE) and mediocre gun (for it's BR and what it faces regularly). It only has speed to compensate for its flaws. Definitely worth a video.
