​@amx-30_official Side is easy pen. Just aim a bit low. Obviously, don't shoot the upper angled part. If you're in a Somua and fight this head on, always shoot the barrel first then take your time and get a perfect shot at the drivers port. It will pen. If he keeps wiggling, use your 4sec reload to break his tracks then get into the perfect angle to shoot the drivers port or go to his side.

IS-6 is not nearly as bad as the IS-4 at 7.7. I do think it’s overtiered a bit but it’s really fast for how much armor it has. Honestly it’s just fast in general and can very easily be played as a big medium tank. The IS-4 and Maus so slow that they have no choice but to rely on their armor which doesn’t work. Meanwhile the IS-6 can rely mainly on its mobility to still do really well at 7.7.

Fun fact. In the early days before they made changes to the armor models in the introduction of armor view back in 2018 or so. They "found" out after 4 years that the IS-3 and IS-4 Turret armor was "bugged" since the turret mantlet and turret itself where still behind the turret mantlet effectively giving it double the armor... which is why you can now suddenly pen its turret mantlet but before 2018 you could not

The is4m is easily one of the most overlooked tanks in the game. It gets really consistent downtiers, and in those downtiers there are only like 4 tanks that can reliably do ANYTHING past barrel and track you. I did an experiment with it a while back and didn't fire the main gun once in a downtier and was able to get to 1500 sp by purely bouncing and tracking guys. Absolutely a monster

There’s a letter box shaped cutout in the hull armor that the driver’s hatch covers, which can be penned easily by 90mms. You just need to shoot at the top of the flat part. It’s weak enough to be penned even at angle so I suggest IS-4s to keep moving if you see the enemy aiming at your hull really carefully.

Challenge video idea: Shoot & Scoot: Spookston must move at least one grid-square (on the minimap) over every time he gets a kill. He could play a fast vehicle able to move around quickly, or he could hind a good spot on the border of 2 grids he can move back and forth between. For greater challenge: he has to move every time he FIRES his main gun, instead of every time he gets a kill.

Since you played this thing, you might wanna check the T-10A it has great mobility 16sec reload on the 122 and its armour is exceptional in a down tier and it has a stabiliser and its russian 7.7 so a lot of downtiers.

I also got a nuke in the IS-4M on Iberian Castle, but it was a full uptier or close to it. Had help from my ZSU-37-2 to get the nuke, but I still got it. 7 ground kills between both vehicles, and 5 aircraft downed. Might have actually been just an 8.0 or 8.3 game but still got a nuke and was still fairly stock IS-4M
