The Surblinde is supposed to be better armored than normal AMX 50 100 if I recall right. Then they realized the thing is well... 70 tonns, and tried to lighten it while keeping the protection and armament, hence the "Lowered", aka Surbaisse version. Or so I reckon.

Yup, weight was too much both for the suspensions and the 900hp Maybach engine, the tank couldn't go past 50kph and wasn't reliable

Hey give the T54e1 a whirl, they buffed it's reload to 5 seconds instead of 6.7 seconds, absolutely killer premium. I recently made a small montage for the first time in forever because of the buff.

Possibly unpopular opinion: I think the sabot is more effective than the HEAT on the T54E1. Less crew picking and better spall.

@@brisho2684 the sabot is better then heat on all the 105s. Much higher velocity so easier to hit targets at range, much better post pen damage and more then enough penetration for most enemy's

What are you on about? Pretty sure the reload was always 5 seconds. The thing is irrelevant with the Turm 3 at the same BR with significantly better mobility, 30mm coax, same reload (basically same gun) and the real kicker: 2 plane stabiliser.

I remember this event but never really grinded for it because I knew it was basically the same tank as the normal amx-50. Every time I get killed by an amx 50 I always double check its name to see if its a surblinde. Haven't seen one yet and never actually knew how rare this tank is. I feel like no one actually remembers this event and im the only one who double checks amx50s to see if its a surblinde.

I had no idea this was so rare. I bought mine off the market the first week you could n spent like 140. Loved the French tech tree at the time and this was a blast. Been much better since it was dropped down to 7.7. I think it fits in better with the line up.

Wish the T54E1 would be moved down to 7.7. Its pretty similar. No armor, faster reload but a smaller gun. Its ok at 8.0 but it faces fully stabilized stuff almost constantly and it kinda suffers because of it.

This tank is OP not because of the tank itself, but because everyone forgets it exists. It looks almost exactly like a Somua if you don't use 5 brain cells, but its weakpoints are completely different.

All i know, is with the Super bias.... I just center mass anything with the 120 and it dies. Solid shot detonates ammo 12/10 times. Easily my favorite gun in the game.

Try out the ASU-85. Same gun as the Obj 906, but with double the reload, at 6.3. Not too quick, but you get scouting and can pen just about anything frontally. I've only had problems penning the Jagtiger, T95, T28, and the Strv 103 (in full uptiers with my 6.7 lineup).

I love the amx 50 surb. They definitely fixed its gun at some point without announcing it. I realized this when going back to play 7.7 and I shot clean through an m47 mantlet at range. It used to nonpen leopard 1 turret because the optics and the sheer size of the 120. So happy to see this thing getting love

IKV 91 Will explode if sneezed on, but can annihilate anything and everything it will ever face. Even the mantlet of a T95. Also not stabilized, but the Laser rangefinder and low first gear make up for it.

@@hunlepto2239 Errr...you know the penetration. You just gotta look at what you are trying to shoot trough. Side armour of a light tank? The shell will only lose like 50mm of pen. A random sideskirt of some low tier AA? ~20mm. The gun breach area of a tank? Ehh, better not try. Dead tanks have the same effect on rounds as life tanks
