I really like how the Engine is portrayed here. He's stern and firm with Bert, but in reality, he's still an engine that wants peace. I personally enjoyed how he looks in his final line: "I want to revel in some of that peace I'm deserving of." In Carson's version, the Engine is angry and neutral in his statement, while here, the Engine is sad and sorrowful. I especially love the idea that this Engine is actually alive, and after his talk with Bert, he looks to the sky and finally passes on to the big railway in the sky. It builds a lot more personality for the Engine rather than just "Ghost Warning" and shit, here we actually see the Engine's final words as he dies, fulfilled that his words have changed Bert in some way. It's sad, and coupled with the music creates some serious emotional beats. You guys do emotional scenes scarily well, good show to all of you!
