I come from Ireland, where Hallow'een (Oiche Samhain) comes from. The tradition when I was a child was the build-up to the night of Hallow'een, collecting items to burn to the Bonfire that was the center of tradition for the Hallow'een Festivities. A King and Queen of the Hallow'een Festivities was selected and this was done by the lucky person to get a ring from the Barmbrack Cake, the rings where baked into the cake, it would be cut up and you would pick a slice having no idea if you would be chosen. My mother made Colcannon (mashed potatoes mixed in with cabbage, plenty of butter) and sausages, that was the traditional dinner of the night. Then we'd have Hallow'een games, like fetching grapes out of flour using only your mouth, and pretending it was Mummy Eyeballs. Or hang an apple and you tied your hands behind your back and tried to take a bite out of the Apple. The finale was always going door to door getting fruit, nuts and sometimes, but rarely sweets to take to the Great Bonfire Festivities.

Love the Halloween decor. My daughters wanted to add spiders that size to our front door, but they wanted the ones that jumped. I hate any types of spiders from plastic to real. I told them NO WAY! We have smaller sizes on a web instead. My younger daughter placed a fake spider under my clothes, and I almost lost my mind. I thought it was real. LOL, she said I didn't mean too. I was like how did it get under my clothes? OMG! Gotta love Halloween! Thanks for sharing you have a nice home btw. From SF, CA

My favorite ones are the crows, that tombstone beside the fireplace, the skulls in the fireplace, the glitter broom and glitter spiders, the moon and the wolf. I love halloween so much that I would leave this decor all year hehe

Well I don’t like celebrating Halloween any more but one year when my mom n I was working together at a restaurant we got dressed up She was a witch with hot pink hair n I was a genie. My mom served pick from a plastic cauldron the store owner bought n put dry ice in to make it look smoky. I miss my mom a lot I do buy candy for kids so if any come by. I do buy stuff for my grandkids
