There are stores that sell costumes & there is a section of the city where the stores give candy to kids in costume & there is a little celebration in the park. Some bars in the cosmopolitan part of the city celebrate with costume parties too. The whole country definitely does not celebrate like the USA, but there are a growing number of places that do.

The sleepy hollow is not sleepy on Halloween!! This reminded me of years ago when me, my brother and his wife went to one of those haunted woods. There were all kinds of creepy things as we went along, and when we got to a turn there was a man with a creepy mask on that jumped out of the woods with a chainsaw and started it. We all started running up through the field to miss that corner. My brother fell down and we ran over him and we kept going. Somewhere along the way my sister in law got hung up in an old fence and tore her clothes!! It's funny as I think back on it now!! My brother says it wasn't so funny since he got trampled!! LOL

Can confirm- I have ordered artwork from Jonas and it is so well made and the way he packaged it was really thoughtful. I found an old thrift store frame and it is now in my kitchen. Side note: My mother and I like to visit old cemeteries and she found a grave in NY of Ichabod Crane. Now it's not the one from the story as he's fictional- but it is still interesting. You just don't see many people named Ichabod anymore.

You’ve got me excited for spooky season! As for the cushion for your masks, could you use some of the same clay you used on the front, mold it around your nose and then adhere it to your mask??

Oh wow that is crazy. I have gone to the pumpkin walk in Old Bethpage and then Usdan summer camp put on by Rise of the jack ‘o lanterns for the past handful of years with my family. They are incredible, I always send my friends a few pictures and people all over the world are blown away at the carvings and faces and scenes.

I loved your costumes last year and can't wait to see what you come up with this year. To answer your question about costume plans, I have two: 1) In early October, I'm attending an Edwardian Society of Oregon Halloween buffet. Costumes need to look like something a person living in the 1900s might have put together. I'm going as Miss Havisham in my white Regency gown, wearing the veil from my first wedding but with a crown of black flowers. I don't want to distress the gown. (It's handmade from an historically accurate pattern and I usually wear it to Regency balls.) I'm going to drape myself in cobwebs. My props will be a plate of decaying cake with mice arranged around it and a (fake) mantel clock that my friend is painting to show the hands stopped at 9:20. 2) My second event is closer to Halloween. I have friends who build a haunted house experience in their front yard or garage. (Last year was a haunted miniature golf course.) I'm planning to go as Jessica Rabbit because I have an amazing strapless red evening gown that doesn't get enough wear time. My date is going as Roger Rabbit.

Always excited for you to share your Halloween festivities. Thank you for sharing how you made your masks. That would fun even for the kids to do with Model Magic. You could cover the inside with a layer of cotton and then satin material. It would take some fine motor skills and a little time. Jonas, I have 3 of your bookmarks and the winter headless horseman with Santa’s sleigh in the sky. Your artwork had so many layers and details to get lost in. 🥰 Thinking of making a glowing mushroom from an umbrella to go with an old forest fairy costume. Thank you so much! I do offer some commissions of foam pumpkins but earlier in the year as I am more busy during late September and October with real pumpkins. Yay to Spooky Season and Rise of the Weirdos! I love you guys so much and it's just not Halloween without you.Those masks are too good! I am gonna give them a try. Aww. Great video as always, guys! Halloween has always been my favorite time of year and I even got married on Halloween. My husband and I usually go to the Oregon coast for our anniversary every year, but this year we are going to Scandinavia! We will be visiting Reykjavík, Iceland for 3 days, and then several areas in Norway 🇳🇴 for 5-6 days and then… Sweden! 🇸🇪 And it just so happens that we will be in Sweden on Halloween! I know that Scandinavia does not celebrate Halloween like how we do here in the United States, or , it’s a more recent thing that started in the 1980s or 1990s anyways. But… I am wondering if you have any suggestions of fun things to do in Stockholm, Sweden on Halloween this year. I have been doing a lot of research and I don’t see a lot of events online. We may spend the day in Uppsula, maybe, if we have time. But our main focus is to be in Stockholm because we only have two days in Sweden this time. 😢 We are going to go on a historical ghost walk tour through old town early on, but that ends at around 8 PM. So we’re looking for somewhere to go or something fun to do afterwards and would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

How exciting! Have a fantastic trip! I haven't spend as much time as I wish in Uppsala, but there is alot of hisotic sights there like castles etc. But in Stockholm I always recommend to visit "Old Town" or "Gamla Stan" as it is in Swedish. You can visit the big church there, "Storkyrkan" and see a cool looking statue inside of St George and the Dragon. Also have a cup of tea or coffee at "Sten Sture" which is next to the church, it is a cafe that is in an old prison underground. It is a cool place. :) kinna cozy for being a prison. There is also an interesting SciFi bookstore in Old Town. If you have a limited time in Stockholm I think I would focus on Old Town which is the oldest part of Stockholm.
