Wish they released an undamaged lion version. The sculpt itself is really pretty cool. Not many lion warrior toys that I know, on the market.

The entrails of the lion has a hole for the tip of the spear to go through. The end result is that the spear pierces his back, goes through his torso and pushes the entrails out where he holds them in his hand.

Sideshow collectibles ripped of this figure design when they created their red death premium format statue its also holding its intestines for shock value.

I got the feeling that maybe The Lion used to be a human (maybe a warrior because of his clothing) and he probably was even a scared person (because he is The Cowardly Lion) and he got cursed by ether The Witch or The Wizard (or maybe in this world The Wizard and The Witch fused) into a Monstrous Lion 🦁

SPOILERS FOR THE STORY (injury warning) He was a warrior in the Crusades who abandoned his brothers in arms. As he ran from the battlefield, weapons pierced his back--he's doomed eternally to carry them with him, guts in hand, in constant agony for his cowardice.

@@TigerTigerII cool but I like to made up a story for them instead (some reason it’s more fun to made up story than the actual story itself)

I heard rumors years ago (back when there was talk of McFarlane working on a Wizard of Oz movie!) that the creepy eye in the O of the Oz logo was actually the eye of the wicked witch, which is obviously not part of the final series of figures. It’s pretty sad that they didn’t end up putting her into the whole set because she could have been a chance for McFarlane to have a more active female character in the series where the only other woman is objectified to the extreme.
