@@deemanzini5651 It's not necessarily about mistakes. It's mostly about getting bored and not being patient enough to just patrol the gens. Comp players are usually much more patient. They don't mind having a round that lasts 40+ minutes as long as they win. This playstyle is extremely boring and unsatisfying for the majority of the playerbase. Hence, he lost the game of attrition.

@ninjafang I see what you're saying but at the same time I don't subscribe to the idea of caring about the fun of other people. It's not the player's responsibility. It's the dev's job to make the game fun for BOTH sides. Oddly enough, DBD is the only community that comes up with rulebooks about how the opponent should play. As a pig main, here are two tips for her 1.) she isnt aggressive, dont go on long chases. Injuring survivors is enough in 5 gens. 2.) put a headtrap on survivors in your second down. You need to save her traps for mid game.

Yup. Hits are killer favored. Interrupts like grabs\harpoon are survivor favored. From the survivor's POV, they were already in the clear and would be super awkward to suddenly get teleported back to get grabbed, so they made interrupts be based on the survivor's POV. It'll be even worse in a match like this with US v EU ping differences.

The vast majority of games as killer are played against solos and survivors will make 10x more mistakes than you. There is pretty much 0 chance of you ever going against a team like this in public lobbies

As a Myers enthusiast, i have to say that you can make Tombstone Piece work better by not using it all the chance you get. If the survivors don't know, let them make a mistake or fake not having it. If they know you have, just be pacient. There WILL BE a opportunity to Mori. You can Pop it and insta Mori, so, if they are on open area, garanteed kill, if not, just don't bother. Hope it helps :D

Even if they didn't expect him to bring tombstone piece, the writing was on the wall when it took him multiple gens to finally proc tier 3. Even in pubs most people know a tombstone myers by the obnoxious amount of time it takes to stalk for tier 3 moris. And this team is not your average pub swf to say the least. Myers didn't stand a chance here in any way.

The occasional match where I get completely destroyed, I don't mind since it's a god-tier Nurse. The guy practiced hard to get to that level. Not to mention, those rare games only last about 4 minutes, so it's fine. I just move on to the next game. People really love crying about everything. God forbid, there's actually a killer that can keep up with the strongest survivors. Maybe get better at the game.

That’s because nurse actually is OP. She has a low skill ceiling. Her power is forgiving and she defies all the normal game mechanics. Trapper is literally the worst killer in the game so that’s pretty obvious why no one ever mentions him. Ghostface is also a relatively balanced killer who isn’t OP or super weak.

I admit she's op but it's not just that anyone can pick her up and get 4ks every match...once you have a lot of practice with her, however, then she consistently gets kills. But the same could be said for any killer. Trapper can still be great for zoning off parts of the map...buuuut he's very add on dependent. He's still worth mentioning though - all killers are tbh. Because it's good to have variables when talking about balance in the game. If you just look at the super strong killers, then obviously the results will favour the game being 'killer sided'. Looking at all of them would highlight some of the issues with killer balance.

Compared to someone like blight, it’s night and day. Blight has a very high skill ceiling and actually takes skill. Nurse takes skill too but it’s significantly less. I’d say huntress and deathslinger even have a higher skill ceiling than a nurse. The only reason you never see many good nurses is because most give up before actually learning her power. You said people make the argument that nurse is OP so that means killer is OP. Never heard anyone say that but nurse is definitely OP. Once again tho the reason no one ever mentions lower tier killers is because they’re either in a good spot or need base kit changes. Ghostie is in a good spot. Trapper needs basekit changes.

There is a reason why 50+ survivor perks need to be banned and the game needs to be played only on lery's (his best map) in pro play just for ghostface to have a chance of competing and spoiler alert, it's not because he is balanced. The reason killers like trapper, ghostface, pig, myers etc. are all considered weak is because they are essentially just the basekit of killer with a gimmick that doesn't help in chase consistently. Meanwhile maps and loops aren't designed for these killers even though they should be since that is literally the basekit of the killer. Survivor is balanced around the base of survivor without taking any perks into account unlike killer.

When more than half of the killer roster can't keep up with coordinated teams, it really highlights the glaring issues of the game. These killers struggle to get a down, so hooking based slowdown perks (which are very few BTW) are simply not viable. Instead of balancing the maps, BHVR just completely gutted the kick-based slowdowns while leaving the bottom tier killers in limbo.

See videos like this don’t give an accurate representation of in game play. These are the top 1% of players. Damn near any killer would struggle, even nurse. Most survivors don’t play this coordinated. I’d say most survivors don’t even care about escaping. Most survivors aren’t efficient, they won’t do gens, they won’t take chases, etc. People swear killer is unbearable but let’s be real, games like this are probably 1 in every 10 games. So in reality most killer games aren’t going like this. These are the top 1% survivor players and don’t give an accurate representation of survivor players as a whole. The problem is most killers need base kit changes. Too many are add on dependent. BUT you can’t make base kit changes until you nerf add ons that would make killers OP if given the base kit changes.

@@lilyflower5895 the kill rate is at 60-63%, which means most killers are averaging a 2-3K. The escape rate is 38-40% with a difference of 10-15% between solo queue and SWF. And only like 5% of teams are 4-man SWF, according to BHVR. So no most survivors aren’t winning, they aren’t efficient, and they aren’t rockstars.

Sometimes I hate to play as killer because in order to win against same skill level player, I have to play like an 'asshole'. So either your lose and get disrespected, tie and get flamed for being an 'asshole', or win and still get flamed for being an 'asshole'. I still haven't seen a survivor who understand why a killer have to camp with 1 gen or 0 gen left when he only has less than 2 hooks to secure a kill.

I never understood why some people trash talk the killer for camping a hook in their 3-gens or at the end of the game. I've actually been trash talked by some for defending killers and trying to explain why they do it. It's like dude, what do you want them to do ? If you have a tight 3-gens and the hook in the same area, why leave ? If you can literally see all survivors nearby the hook, ready to swarm it, why leave ? If it's endgame and you have no more gens to defend, why leave or why not tunnel ? And *so* many times I see people say "Tunneller !" too when, after they got unhooked, they go straight into the killer's face or try to flashy save. Like bruh, just getting unhooked doesn't give you a "I won't be chased for the next 2 minutes" pass, if you go in the killer's face or show up in a vulnerable place, of course they'll go for you.

Spooky is a good casual killer as in he's good against casual people who do play the game a lot but not hardcore, but he isn't an hardcore player himself. And those aren't "good" survivors - they're comp survivors. Playing the game a lot and being good at it isn't comparable to being comp, being incredibly sweaty and hardcore. Spooky doesn't have a comp mindset nor playstyle at all. And it shows here. He plays nice, he plays chill, he's trying his best while trying to have fun. Those survivors play to win, it's a very different mindset.

Like ace decided ti chase trapper where he spawned and instead of taking advantage of that lead, where he could easily check the tall grass by the pallet if it was trapped and take a hit instead , he just got trapped.

It is possible, but it requires you play ruthless. Tunnel one out of the game at 5 gens and throw the balance of the game off closer to your favor.

I've never played but correct me if I'm wrong: When expecting to go against a killer like Nurse or Blight, generally 1 player has the "tunnel me" build and they will try their best to loop as long as possible since killers at that level DO tunnel pretty ruthlessly. Side note: I honestly don't have a problem with tunneling at this level since all parties are aware it's gonna happen and even play around it. In pubs & solo q you're lucky if your teammates have any anti-tunnel perks to begin with, let alone 1 designated chaser.

the fact that survivors can form a swf is just stupid. this video perfectly shows what huge difference communication gives and that you have to play strong killers to have a chance on winning. every single time i have to play a weak killer other than nurse or blight i get stomped. that's no fun at all. survivors have totally strong items (the healing nerf was a joke btw...they still heal within seconds), generator times are waaaay too low and 4 vs 1 is already a huge disadvantage, but get's even worse when those 4 players can even communicate among each other. until bhvr finally does something about this huge skill difference there will always remain toxicity in this game.

Great content as always. The sad thing is that you dont need to go against a pro team to get demolished by SWF, especially if you play a low-tier killer. I win 90% of my games as survivor playing duo and I run a Flip-flop build. The hardest part of playing survivor is dealing with DC's and trolls.

The difference is that Adrenaline is pretty brain dead: even a bad survivor will get value out of it. For NOED, the killer gets value only if the survivors are bad or scared of it. NOED's issue was always that it's too strong against solo queue people who are scared of everything (a few years back most people would insta leave when the NOED popped and let the person die), and yet against experienced players it's basically useless.

It was really interesting to watch but as a Myers’s main and build enthusiast, I wouldn’t say those are his best add ons, I’d recommend superior anatomy, brutal strength, enduring, and bamboozle when you combine those with fragrant tuft of hair (unarguably his best perk, tombstone stuff reduces points and severely slows down evil within) essentially get evil within early and you’re unstoppable. You vault RIDICULOUSLY fast, you break pallets and gens without even losing the chase and you only need to hit them once. You could also sub out like enduring and bamboozle and do the nemesis play with your food speed boost combo. Either one makes Michael almost unstoppable, also best map for Myers’s is definitely the crow cemetery (can’t remember the name) but that tower is great for building evil within quickly in the beginning, line of sight is amazing on that map. Glenvale is also good for line of sight.

As i comp player myself i saw some mistakes from them which i dont see often in tourneys but we have to consider these players dont have a lot of synergy cause they play in different teams, if you'll ever do something like this again i suggest you to ho against a full roster of One these two teams, eternal or elysium for a Better or worse expirience depending on how you want to look at it

He should find a full NA team to do it with, honestly. Hens is in Germany, so his ping is probably at like 125 which is fairly "decent" (you can still get weird hits), but the other three live more East, they were probably around 170-200 ping... At that ping, it takes the game about a second to register anything you do (unhook, drop a pallet, use an item, etc.), which is why Spooky had weird moments in terms of grabs and hits. I respect them for accepting to play at such a high ping, it's not the most fun experience chase-wise, but I guess the challenge was fun in itself.

I don't care about the survivor vs killer debates but from a balance perspective it really does suck there are multiple killers that at a certain skill level just become completely unviable and very difficult-near impossible to win with not counting obvious exceptions like condemned or tombstone builds It's certainly a lot harder to balance asymmetrical games (especially filled with gameplay changing mechanics such as perks, addons, items and offerings) but I think it's something any game with a cast like this should try to avoid

Isn't that just video games? Even in high rank CSGO/CS2 scene, all I see is AWP, AK47 and M4. Rarely I see stuff like Negev or XM1014. And that game has probably one of the peak balances as far as video games go. Then there are comp scenes in fighting games like Injustice 2 and MK11 where a good amount of top players use zoning characters that do nothing but spam ranged attacks to try to deny anything to their opponent. Then there is Battlefield 1, which is a very casual game but people that play in more hardcore servers use like the same 15 guns out of 70~ guns. The truth is, some stuff will always be more viable than others. The higher skill level is, those viable stuff is more picked. If you want to chill, play chill and you won't have a problem. People that play at high level play there because they utilize top stuff, not the other way around. Without utilizing the best things you have, you will most likely not play at high level in first place.

If we're gonna be honest, Spooky was playing well but he did make quite a few mistakes that ended up costing him the game, some understandable some not (getting pallet saved on three different times, deciding to drop his 3 Gen in the trapper game, playing like he had tombstone)

The thing is you rarely run into this type of team. The average survivor never plays this good nor does the average survivor even care about escaping. Buffing killers movement speed would be absolutely ridiculous because most killers are already in a decent spot. The only thing that needs to be changed are base kits. There’s a few killers who need basekit changes so they’re less add on dependent.

I'm assuming spooky didn't change his playstyle to deal with this sort of team, which means that the experiment doesn't solve the question. Can low tier killers beat these teams? Yes, absolutely. But not if the killer plays like this. You need to tunnel. You need to focus people in vulnerable positions. You need to abuse whatever you can. You definitely shouldn't bring brutal strength lmao, it's a bad perk for these scenarios. Yes they will predrop, no brutal won't help. They will still have time to get to the next pallet. That's why you can't let them ever leave the hook, really. It's not fun but STBFL with a facecamp, deadlock, NOED, and no way out are probably your best bets.

@@nixonplays5785 Yeah and if camping and tunneling are done wrong u might lose the game, even with reassurance u will get two surv occupied, one on the hook and the other coming for reassurance, and the other two are on gens, so u can do a trade-off, the last thing u want to do is hooking a survivor and then going to chase another one far away, camp the hook for a bit maybe get a second stage at the start then that will determine ur win big time.

All these never really show much though with perk and item restrictions, as that those restrictions won't be happening in a real match. Showing balance weaknesses should be compared against real world scenarios. If it's compared to real world match setups, BHVR can at least review and potentially consider balance adjustments. Otherwise, they could just say a killer struggled or survivors struggled only because of perk\item restrictions. At higher MMR, killer is practically unplayable unless you're playing S tier killers like nurse\blight...especially now that the only thing that was making lower tier killers somewhat playable (regression perks) were nerfed into oblivion. Now they don't stand a chance.

This isn't your average pub swf. A few of them are from team Eternal, the best comp dbd team in the world.The amount of skill and game sense it takes to make even a seasoned killer like Spooky look this bad comes from years and years of playing dbd. Most losses in pubs are on the killer for making too many mistakes and not capitalizing on survivor's mistakes. It goes without saying, there will always be people better than you at something but that shouldn't be a discouragement from getting better.

Usually in pub games you can ignore their primary looper and pick off their weaker gen jockey team mates. But the really good survivor groups are all loop goblins with perfect everything. Simple: the survivors in the matches weren't toxics, toxicity in DBD starts with the t-bag, clicky and massive taunt. Also, part of being proffesionals (ingame and IRL) is the empaty, matchmaking in DBD is pretty bad (4 SWF +3000h VS 800h killer, for example), but you don't need to put in a "Deal with it" status, neither a "gg" if everyone escaped with just 1-2 hooked per match: Just play, escape, and leave.

Trapper actually likes main on Saloon! Looping main requires windows and narrow paths that survivors just cannot avoid. The big issue was trapper sack, Saloon is a small map so having to pick up the traps isn't really a huge deal. The big issue is that disarming your traps is easy and not a problem, especially since they dont get sloppied by bloody. Iri stone and green springs would've been a good play. Make them waste ages to disarm a trap that'll just be back in 30 seconds anyways!

I also refuse to believe Saloon is his "best" map. Almost no grass except around a couple gens, and the map is so small survivors will always see him placing a trap. A large map with lots of grass is much easier, make survivors wary of every single bush just so they miss the trap on the corner.

He wouldn't have been able to viably check. Ace had background player, so he could be a fair distance away and suddenly burst over to the pallet. BHVR in their infinite wisdom essentially makes it impossible to ever pick anyone up at a pallet if someone is running background player and is at least in the general zipcode of the map.
