I absolutely love Spooky Villages! I used to have a collection, but I sold it all in 2015, after I introduced a Husky puppy to our household. I just didn’t have room anymore. I had Octo-squeeze, Wild Pumpkin ride, Last House on the Left, the clock tower, the high school, the saloon, and many accessories. My favorite was the Last House on the Left and the clock tower. I just love the black lights and flashing lights with thunder sounds. If I ever get rich, I’m going to have a big house with a special room to set up another Spooky Town and a Christmas village during the holidays. A man can dream, huh lol. You have a wonderful display. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Your display is huge this year. Love the trick or treat lane series. That spider house looks so awesome. The tree eating the trick or treater reminds me of that possessed tree outside Robbie & Carol Anne's room in Poltergeist. That scary treehouse is super cool. Love the lit ghost accessory. Thank you Kat! I had to expand this year :) Thanks for the kind words, it was a lot of fun putting it together and this is the first time I've really been completely happy with a display of mine. As the weather has just turned to fall FINALLY yesterday, it's great letting this run with the windows open and cool night breeze.

Wow I really love this display! Every time I thought I liked a building the best you would show another one that I loved too! I think every piece displayed is so special and is so perfect for your scene. I love that haunted treehouse omg! So cool. I cannot wait to get more pieces. I love my Lemax Casino so much I think I’m going to do a monster based village and have no humans... maybe. That’s what I love so much is the creativity of what you can do is endless. Hope y'all are snow free..... just drove 10 hours to Melville Saskatchewan and 10 hours back to Edmonton in thick heavy snow with summer tires and rear wheel drive. .. ugh.... not good... lots of moose and buffalo around the highways though! Gorgeous! Sadly a buck deer, porcupine, skunk and lots of rabbits killed on the road.... poor souls.... rutting season here in Alberta.... tons of Canadian and snow geese, as well as red tail hawks feasting in the fields as well. "Autumn" in Canada..... more like summer and 9 months of winter..... Cheers Doug!

Doug, I love your trick or treat neighborhood (who wouldn't). But I have to applaud your editing in the opening video of the village. It's wonderful! Your usual review videos are always slick, but the film and music mix here is excellent. You may have missed your calling in Hollywood.

Thanks for sharing, love the setup! It's interesting to hear that the Spider House is so hard to come by now. I started collecting in 2012, which is the year it came out, so I think I got mine in 2013. The buildings that were the toughest for me to get (at prices I was willing to pay) were Dead Creek Mill, Bewitching Costume Shop, Haunted Coal Car, Walter & Larry's Crypt, Halloween Victorian House, and Creepy's Pet Shop. I just finished setting my village up 2 days ago, I think it took me about 50 hours, and I still need to take a video. The last video I posted was under my husband's account in 2015, although not much has changed because I have run out of room. I haven't bought the Trick or Treat Lane houses for the last 3 years because I would have to carve a new platform in order to display them so that might be a project for the spring.

Hey Christina, thanks for the comment. The Mill is something that's on my village bucket list! Hard to get and pricey now (as you know). Not sure why exactly spider house is so hard to get, save for the fact that maybe they just didn't make a bunch of them. It's got great lighting though, so I'd guess that's another reason. I'd love to see pics of you village! Sounds like you did a lot of work on it.

Amazing village Doug! I am starting to warm up to some of the dept 56 pieces, specifically the trick or treat houses. Random, off topic question though, what doo you think of the lemax pumpkin water tower? I did a review on it and I thought it was cool! I prefer the dept 56 one as much as the next person but I think it is a nice alternative

You know, this may surprise you but it's actually Monster Mash House by Department 56. I don't think it's a bad building at all, in fact it's pretty cool. But still, when I saw it announced I expected it to be a personal favorite of mine. It's not and I wish I had tempered myself a bit in the review as when the "newness" faded, it's just not a building I'm that big on for a variety of reasons. That's actually the only review on my channel that I'd go back and change somewhat! Now, while that may of been most disappointing (because I thought it would be totally amazing) I think my least favorite would be one of the standard lit Lemax houses. Probably Witches and Warlocks.

Dept 56 usually announces their retirement list always after 1st week in November. I actually bought the spider house last month at Sanders Country store on hwy 80 in Savannah, Ga. It was on sale marked down at 30% off. They had 1 left.

The lack of attention to detail that people display this stuff is up there.... you cant see any of the figurine's that go with the houses and you would be surprised at what the right lighting can do to those figures that we pay big money for. But they always get ignored for all the pretty sparkling lights on the houses but everybody forgets you also paid money for the figurine's but look at this you cant see one of them.I need to show my witch hollow collection and give a lesson on lighting up those figurine's. Its game changing
