I"m not too shock about the number 1 being Jacks Pumpkin farm it the reason a made a whole cornfield maze 2ys ago ! the one thing that did surprize me was you didn't have Hollowgraves manor or the Octo Squeeze on it

Hey David, no this year I did not have time to set up any kind of real display. I put up something small at a trunk or treat but that was it. Moved at the worst time! Happy Halloween!

I have a Lemax Spooky Village carnival display every year. I love Bump in the night bumper cars.. but, I have purchased two and both have stopped working. I am moving towards stationary displays now. I sure do wish they were built better.. I will miss my bump in the night piece.

YES !!! I LOVE Top 10 lists, especially when it comes to Spooky Town !!!! I know I'm in the minority when I say Dept 56 Trick r Treat Lane houses are way too plain and simplistic, especially for what they cost, BUT I do love Black Cat Flat. Some surprises 4 sure, but awesome list overall. Can definitely see why they all made it for you. Happy Spooky Village Halloween!

Hey Erik I actually agree with you a good bit on the D56 line, at least in recent years. Kraken House looks like they are finally going back to what the theme is supposed to be- way over decorated homes. Black Cat Flat will probably always be king though! Happy Halloween!

I can probably count on both hands what I don't like from lemax, some of the things being from the most recent years. Great list! Agree with D56 Grimsly Manor--I have one and it is indeed the perfect, classic haunted house. I like the few D56 witch buildings that I have, as well as Ghoul School and its figurine (I teach college, so this is perfect for me). With Lemax, I like the Tilt'n'Hurl, the Library (2019) and Jack's Pumpkin Patch. Thanks for the season! Happy Halloween!

As a new collector this year I've observed is there seem to be two different running themes to Spooky Town: A real, realistic town of humans that really, really likes Halloween, and a cartoonish, fantastical town of monsters and witches and the supernatural. I bought Meow Mansion and the Bailey and Bella Pet Shop and put them together... and they looked wrong. I'm assuming that either it's something you ignore and are fine with, or tend to gravitate towards one or the other. Or have separate displays or separate areas of displays. I'm thinking maybe Lemax should separate their Halloween lines like they do thier Christmas stuff- all the North Pole Santa Claus stuff is a different line than the real village stuff. Am really liking the D56 Trick or Treat Lane series but they seem to sell for a bazillion dollars.

Lemax has always played very loose with themes throughout spooky town. You have realistic styled pieces, you have fantastical monster town stuff, you have macabre horror style pieces where monsters are doing bad things to people) and then you have the really wild stuff like nuclear apocalypse (wasteland pub and gas station this year) plus other older themes like the pirates, mummy/exploration, etc. Spooky Town is just kind of a mess theming wise so most long time collectors just roll with it and gravitate to the pieces they like

how do you find out which items are going to be retired?

Sometimes dealers get wind of what's going to be retired and will say something, but otherwise Lemax just announces it with no real lead up or anything.

I have the first three years it started still have boxes and in totes. you showed none of these.
