Just a quick question got these off veals to put on my Ian golds supermatch 7ft tripod had to put soppy washing up liquid on tripod legs & knock them on with a hammer! 5/8 legs should they be that tight to go on

They should be a snug fit Gary but of all the sets we have installed it’s only been hand tight. Is the aluminium leg clean and free of salt residue? If using the tripod without extension legs make sure the Hex has a small S embossed on the top. That way you know you have the correct size. If using extension legs the embossed detail will be an E.

ok but no good on a fast surf beach when your moving every few minutes

On a beach that requires moving every few minutes, I can only presume is very shallow and doesn’t hold species that would warrant anchoring your stand off, so yeah-agreed on a ‘fast surf beach’ probably not required Peter.
