Great video..Is the Shimano power aero 14000XPG XSC a great reel for fishing off the rocks for tope/skate and rough ground??
@spooliganfishing5 сағат бұрын
It’s what I use Gavin. The other lads tend to use Bullseyes. But PG PowerAero line lay is ace!!
@gavinlangford29845 сағат бұрын
@spooliganfishing I want to match it with a T1200 SB model..that reel is quite light, but will it match that rod?
@spooliganfishing5 сағат бұрын
@@gavinlangford2984 John uses T1200 with PowerAero for targeting bigger fish at range. For very big fish/baits he opts for Bullseye

Love the videos lads, but isn’t a long rod a disadvantage when targeting things like big Skate. A lot of leverage working against you, or have I missed something as most are using rods of around 14 ft.
@spooliganfishing28 күн бұрын
We learned a lot of lessons on this trip. Line choices, fighting belts etc. Rods are personal choice I think, having seen how hard these fish fight and run I’d be more comfortable with T1000/1200 although an Axcellerator (if you can get hold of one) would be a good call!
@cupholder312029 күн бұрын
When ya watch other people fishing for these monsters the reel is up high and the butt of the rod is between there legs that looks key to me so you can bully it that way but a could be wrong but what a watch man love your vids mate unlucky john took you for one hell of a ride 😂👌🏻🎣

@spooliganfishing mate, I think you underestimate your fishing. My pb conger is 12lb on the nose, I was made up, I think any fish over 10lb is a great fish. But then I still enjoy catching dog fish 🤣🤣👍
