Back in the early 70s my parents had a beautiful border collie called Ian (named by Dad) For the first time Ian was going to be left alone for two afternoons a week as my mum had agreed to help out a friend by running her shop every Thursday & Friday afternoon. As Ian had never been left alone for longer than the occasional shopping trip they were a bit concerned how he would take it but as it turned out there was no problems whatsoever. No more thought was given to the situation until 4 months or so when the sweet old lady from one street over whose garden backed out onto my parents garden called out to my mum that unfortunately her husband and her were going on holiday in 2 weeks so would not be able to have the dog! Yep turned out that Ian had learnt to let himself out the tiny catflap on the side door and from there jumped the fence and spent every Thursday & Friday afternoon either with the lady as she did her gardening or curled up with her husband as he watched old westerns. They said that without fail he would get up around 5:45 to be let out and head straight home. My mum was mortified and would not apologise enough but the Lady would have none of it saying how much they both lookied forward to Ians visits. Funny thing is this catflap looked wY to small for Ian to get through and he would never use it at any other time even if encouraged with treats etc. Another part that I love is the couple didn't know Ians name so called him something completely different and even after finding out they stuck with their name. Unfortunately I cannot remember either their names or the name they gave Ian as it has been a long time since I last heard my mum tell the story.

My cat's shaming sign might be one of these: I jump up on the table and steal leftovers - bread, meat...I don't care I'm the reason daddy never gets to sleep in on his days off. I play with anything. And I mean ANYTHING. I love kitty cuddles - especially when Mommy is on the toilet.

Years ago my husband's teeth vanished I found Snoopy the Yorkie had snatched them and presented to his life partner Ellie Mae the little white terrier they were in thier love nest an old rocking chair sharing them 😻😸😹 they were the best I still miss them they lived long happy well loved lives ❤ they passed within a year of each other poor old Snoopy was 💔 after we lost Ellie its been a few years we now have yorkiepoo sisters that are wonderful Ellie was the best dog

The dog that chased a groundhog underground and got stuck so the deputies came and dug him out. I had a rattlesnake on my front porch last week trying to get in under the door and called them they quite nicely referred me to a private snake trapper that is not too expensive. In California that was something they sent animal control to deal with. So lesson learned, carry a weapon that you can kill a rattler with at all times.

My dog stole a £2,500 pair of brand new hearing aids out of my Mum’s hand. Ran away, swallowed them and spewed them up onto the carpet. Needless to say, Mum was not amused and had to buy some new ones. She filled out an insurance claim form and the customer service rep was trying so hard not to laugh when she spoke to him on the phone. My dog was very unpopular, with Mum, for a long time

My family has three cats. Before we had the other two, our ginger tabby was (and sometimes still is) a supreme jerk. His shaming sign would probably say, “I will bite you until you give me treats. I will bite you until you play with me. I will bite you for no reason at all except to be a jerk.” He’s a psycho, but he’s our psycho. Our other male cat would probably have one like this, “I walked along the outside of the railing and then jumped one story to the ground when I couldn’t walk back. Gave my hoomans a heart attack.”

I happen to have a respect for Animals because they were created for good their compassionate, they love us more than we love ourselves... they deserve dignity... to put a stupid sign up in front of them for a laugh makes me angry! It really blows my mind that people continue to keep these stressful, damaging, and expensive things we call pets. Dogs are the worst. A dog jumping in my vehicle would be its very last action. I don't allow those nasty destructive creatures in my home or vehicle. Dog owners should have more respect.
