Ahhh man, I've been listening to Pale Saints for around 25 years by now I guess. Why have I never heard Spoonfed Hybrid till today? This song sounds really lovely, looking forward to checking out the album!

Brilliant album - simply ageless in its sublime beauty and meticulous perfection of arrangements. Boys In Zinc still reduces me to tears sometimes....how can one song be so utterly gorgeous in its execution - and never lose its initial impact after even 23 years? I have to admit that I bought the SH album the same day in 1994 as the third [final] Pale Saints album 'Slow Buildings' and it was pretty clear from the outset as to which album I still play repeatedly, without skipping tracks, to this day. Sure, that final PS album had its moments [four or five tracks], but without Ian's maverick touch I even feel that the band themselves knew that their number was up.....

There was a second not-really-album. You can download it here: misterchristrout.com/i/#spoonfed-hybrid_hibernation-shock

+Chris Dunlop That's the one I got. "Make a Fist" was the only really good song on it.

+zimriel Well, that's one of mine so I won't complain! It wasn't really a proper album, to be honest, it was some bits and pieces we threw together for a guy from Lille called called Alex Melis who had already put out two of the tracks on a 7" but wanted to do an expanded edition. I don't mind it, except for the silly dance mix thing, but it's nowhere near as good as the proper album we did.

Shot from sleep, push your fingers in deep. Spin your dizzy mind into rewind. Take it slowly. Heaven's not watching you. Remember when your thoughts all came from meat hooks. All this takes but one moment to disappear.
