As I’m watching this I’m thinking of what my life was like when my kids were the age that your kids are now. It was 2006 and we had just gone through Hurricane Katrina. I had just given birth to twins and my oldest daughter was 3&1/2. I had a hardworking loving husband and 3 healthy children. Plus family on both sides who helped us all the time but as I sit here typing this tears are welling up in my eyes because it was so traumatizing. 17&1/7 years later I literally can remember crying when my 3&1/2 year old asked me where the other shoe to her Polly pocket was because everything we owned was between our home that was damaged, a fema trailer,my parents house and my in-laws house. We lived like this for almost a year. It was the most traumatic thing I’ve ever gone through. All of that to say this…having and caring for children is so emotional in so many ways. I understand your feelings of being overwhelmed.

So as of this morning, I started with part one and I’m now I’m part four. I have been up cleaning the entire time your videos have been playing. We have definitely been cleaning together. Definitely starting to hit a wall today. I have really thought about the fact that I need to make sure I constantly have a home for everything that I am bringing in. I have to start being better at getting up and putting things away to help with the clutter. It just gets so hard with family, working being only 42 and having rheumatoid arthritis that I get so behind on my chores. I become overwhelmed so the videos have definitely helped my mood while I’ve been cleaning. I wanted to let you know thank you for putting yourself out there the way that you do and it helps to let others who have issues with getting behind or having clutter laying around feel a lot more normal ❤

🧚‍♀️ 🛻 On an earlier episode of your latest declutter series, you asked for ideas for the shells collected. When I was little, my grandma and I glued shells to the wooden rim of a small mirror. She had the mirrors that the grandkids decorated hanging in the guest bathroom. It was so special to see our artwork. 🐚 🏖️

🧸 I get where you’re coming from trying to declutter your kiddos stuff and feeling emotional about it. I’ve been trying to declutter my 3 year old’s things recently and every time I get into it I get so emotional.. So many sweet memories attached to so many things. Time goes by so fast! I’m also 25 weeks pregnant soooooo I’m exceptionally emotional haha.

I somehow missed this video. But better late than never. I am loving this series!! It is so motivational. That’s something I am considering for Christmas this year. My kids are now 20 (he’s somewhat special needs), 17, 11 and 10. We don’t really buy to many toys anymore. My younger two still have some. But for the most part it’s mainly electronics they ask for now. So I’m thinking about investing some money into experiences for some of their gifts. We had season passes to the water park out at the beach this past summer. We loved it! They put season passes on like a super sale for Black Friday. We are going to get season passes again. I’m going to see what other places may put season passes/memberships on sale for Black Friday and Christmas.

Love both of your channels! 🧚‍♀️🧸 As a SAHM of almost 2 year old twin boys & a 3 1/2 year old girl (who LOVES watching “the Lucy & Bella show” btw) ALL THE THINGS live in our house & I’m constantly going through stuff & decluttering/donating or sorting out what needs to live in my kids’ memory boxes…but I cry all the time when I’m doing it because I spent so long trying for my babies & I went through so much to get them here & it’s going by so fast & I’m trying to be present & soaking everything up, but I still have that routine ugh mom feeling, too… PS. I was a huge traveler before I had all these kids & traveling isn’t an option for our family at the moment, so I enjoy living vicariously through you guys & day dreaming about the adventures we’ll have one day! ✈️🚗🚌

They grow up way too fast. My daughter will be 16 the end of the month, and I don’t know where the time went. I literally said to my husband the other day (he was complaining about our daughter being excited about Halloween costumes), and I told him we only have a short amount of time left before she is an adult, so enjoy it!!

⚽ I totally get that decluttering can be hard. We have a small house and my boys are 13 now and the christmas before last they told me they needed more room for their stuff and could we just get rid of ALL THEIR TOYS! I cried like a baby as I went through all their old action figures, capes, super hero costumes, nerf guns. That was one of the hardest things and I still miss it

🧚🏻 I needed this today! Just got back from Disney world late last night. We dropped our bags and went to bed. Woke up to the chaos..needed something to get me motivated! Also I’m the same way with decluttering my daughters things. We have like 5 huge totes of her clothes that I just can’t get rid of. And I got rid of about half off her clothes in that decluttering process. I cried a lot. She is 4 and we can’t have more kids. I just can’t get rid of it yet.
