Sport Brella XL Set Up & Review Video

This was the quickest, clearest video on how to set it up and a review. I was at the beach when I watched it so add TIMELY LOL. Didn’t know the main pole telescoped nor the pouches on the side could be for sand until your video. Awesome guys!

After watching this, finally had the courage to use my Sportbrella XL today. I got it a few years ago for an insanely low price on amazon but chickened out once it arrived lol. Your tips are great; hubby said we should spring for the orange anchors next. Yay! If you ever get a chance to test out the Cool Cabana, would love to see that video. It's so expensive but seems worth a look. Thanks for your videos!!!!

Glad to hear my video gave you that little push you needed to bring your Sports-Brella XL to the beach. I don't think the Sports-Brella company is making those anymore. They're currently going for over $160 bucks on Amazon. I'm happy to hear you got a sweet deal! Thanks for the suggestion! The Cool Cabana is on my list. I've been using the EasyGo Cabana which is similar but not as cool.

Watching this video after chasing my Sportbrella down the beach for the third time. Sand in the pockets was my saving grace! The stakes are a joke when it comes to sand. I’ll be searching for an online retailer for the corkscrews you used. Otherwise I’ll be adding a 3lb hammer and tomato stakes my beach bag

hi bud we bought one these while on holiday in cornwall.saw a couple using one so went on facebook bought one nearby same day 45£ .used once in charlestown cornwall.going use it in rain today as fixing my campervan will put over front of my vw t4 as rain shade hopefully 😊

Thanks! You're not going to believe this but I've been on the beach using the Sport-Brella Premiere XL and comparing it to the older Sport-Brella XL. I actually mentioned it on an Instagram post. There are some similarities and there sure are some differences. Hope to have the video up on my channel soon.

ever thought of doing a polyurethane beach wheels video? Not the cheapest option but 100% worth it for hauling gear in soft sand. Just upgraded my igloo trailmate with some 15 inch angler poly's perfect for the soft sand where I live, anyways love the content!

@@BeachGearGuy can't wait for those videos! Can't recommend Angler's brand enough. A fully loaded trailmate with 4 bags of ice and 50 beers just glides over the Florida sand here. Before it would just sink into the soft sand. Awesome channel man, you just have more fun at the beach when you're using the best gear! By the way do you recommend pop up beach tent or the Ziggy canopy?

@@aaron30569 Sounds like you know how to have a great time at the beach! Great question! I love pop up tents for most days. They're like having you're own little beach cabana. I would use a sun shelter like the ZiggyShade during really windy days and for really hot days. Going to the beach today to check out the Pacific Breeze Sand & Surf Shelter.

Would you say this is the best of the ones reviewed so far? I fly solo all the time so I want something easy to set/wrap up by myself and that holds against 17 miles winds.

I would say the Sport-Brella is the easiest/quickest sun shelter to set up on a day with light winds, but if you're expecting 17 mph winds, check out this Pacific Breeze video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXOTip2DfLpnjtk The directions recommend having two people set it up, but you see how well I do flying solo.

You're welcome Charbel! I'm not sure about the trunk, although I just read online that the Jetta's trunk is huge by class standards. I'm sure you could fit the Sport-Brella XL diagonally in the backseat though. Hope it serves you well at the beach! Have fun!

had one of these. they are OK. kind of a pain in the ass to set up and cramped to sit underneath. the metal frame rusts pretty bad after a while. better off just getting one of those beach ninja shades

I bought my Sport-Brella XL around this time last year. I checked out the photos and the description of the XL that's currently available online. The polyester canopy looks the same and seems to have the same dimensions. From what I can see, the biggest difference is the telescopic pole. There is more of a point on the end of the new XL pole and is now secured with a knob rather than a lever.

Beach Gear Guy I’ll be going to academy or something to check it out in person before buying it. Your video did help, I was initially going to look in to the one that is secured by two poles & more of a blanket... but as simple as that look, I think an umbrella will be far quicker to setup. I have a kid that changes his mind about the beach on a whim so I can’t take too long to set something up... just need a simple setup, easy to carry, enough for us to have some shade when it is very sunny.

Thanks for the question. How many people will be joining you under the beach shelter? If it's just you and another person, the Sport-Brella XL should be fine (although it may not fit in the trunk of your car). I love how easy it is to set up and it doesn't take up too much space on the beach. If you have three or more joining you in the shade, you may want to look at a canopy beach shelter such as the Neso or the Sun Ninja.

Good question! It's easy to take down, but due to the side flaps, you have to wrap it up tight to get it in the carrying bag.

When you watch a product review, it is not ideal when they are already using extra products in their review. He just randomly chooses to use different tent stakes. It either reflects badly on the product or it's a paid product placement but they don't say which.

No paid product placements here...I personally purchased all the products in this video with my own hard earned money. I keep the orange screws in my Jeep in case I need them for a windy day set up such as the one in this video. I hope you have a fun & safe summer.
