This is really cool. You make it look easy; with all the CANBUS codes and whatnot, I'm a little intimidated by this! I know this will be anathema to most BMW enthusiasts, and maybe I'm getting old: but I think for most purposes that I prefer the ride of non-Sport cars. It's a little smoother and not so high-strung. A non-Sport and manual transmission is a particularly nice way to go, but so much the better if you could have Sport seats in there. This is worth doing. The only thing I dislike about the Sport seats is that the driver's side bolster seems to wear out very fast from getting in and out of the car. Also the leg extension thing is really welcome on long drives.

So is this a pre lci e90, fitted with LCI sport seats? What options did your stock seats have and what options did your sport seats have? Was it directly plug and play or did you need to do some wiring or anything

Awesome video. Explained the seatbelt wiring well (which is what I was mostly looking for here). I’m about to install the sports’ into my e91. Would you recommend disconnecting the battery before disconnecting the wiring? Is there a risk of getting airbag fault codes, or did you just clear them with a scanner? Thanks!

Thank you sir, I would recommend disconnecting for safety precautions and no codes popped up for me.

Did you buy the sport seats from the same year of another car?

No, they came off of a newer model. As long as the seats are from a sedan they work.
