I recently purchased this model to replace another SportDog collar we had had for 6 1/2 years. I could not figure out the programming for the life of me, based on the booklet. I need help with this.. only one button and theres lots to do.. so when i press for five seconds i get red and beeping sound. What does that mean, i lost the manual i got this back in 2020.

November 13 2021 - just bought this. Two people in this household followed this video and got the same result: the collar didn't behave as shown on this video. After hacking away I *think* I got what I want;. When I turn the collar on it blinks blue nine times (so level 9) and then switches the green blink every five seconds. It turns off as expected. Is this what is supposed to do? The manual and this video don't mention this.

Thank you for your question, Neil. If your intention is to set the bark control collar to User-Selected mode on level 9, then yes, what you have described is correct for the device. @@SportDOGBrand thanks - it was the blinking Blue nine times when powering on. It makes sense - it just wasn't noted in the video so I wasn't sure if it was working right. Anyway - the dog learned fast that if the collar is on - be quiet. As soon as it comes off he goes back to barking (actually baying long and loud - walker hound). That is exactly what I wanted - to control when he is free to make noise - so all good.

Whats a good starter test level for a german shepherd mix who loves to bark at everything?

Thank you for reaching out to us. We're happy to help. It's important to note that each dog is different and that there is no one recommended level for a breed or size. We always recommend starting on the lowest level first, and gradually increasing the level until you notice a response from your dog, such as a head tilt, to indicate that they have felt stimulation.

What are the levels for like how hard the shock is or how sensitive the collar is for noise ?

Thank you for your great question. The different levels describe the strength of the static stimulation. 1 is the gentlest and 10 is the strongest. This bark collar does not beep as a form of correction.
