Some of the journalists need to sort themselves out as we all know a few of them, at the Racing Post especially, follow left wing politics and get caught up in the saga about racing being banned because societal views have changed. I think we as fans, we don’t want horses to perish but we have to accept the risk for the sport and our love, people want to minimise fatalities of course but we’re not at judgement day like many would have us believe. The crowds are huge and the big days are always rammed, the country enjoys going to the races still and will do for many years to come. Stop allowing the left wing loonies to dictate the sport and manage it ourselves, and the crowds will still be there. Stop listening and pandering to others, and do what we think is best not what following people on social media who you think dictate group think! Once you come off social media you’ll realise that your opinions, and what you think are the wider view, is meaningless and most people are sensible enough to sit in the middle and view racing as an enjoyable sport which needs some work doing but isn’t at the judgement day as others believe.
