One ring for almost 2 decades isn't want we signed him for. Sitting on 21 draft picks and ultimately having nothing to show for it other than 2-3 players isn't acceptable. Not pulling the trigger and doing everything possible to get another reasonable star/ role players that this team needs is mind blowing.

I want to see this team do 3 things this offseason 1. Trade Kemba Walker and whatever young assets you need to, to the New Orleans Pelicans for Lonzo Ball and Steven Adams. You get a defensive pass-first PG and a legit center, something you didn't have all year this year. 2. Re-sign Evan Fournier. He'll be a good 6th man for you and can even do spot starts for Jaylen or Tatum should one of them get hurt. 3. Acquire a starting caliber PF. Doesn't matter who, but I'd like to see Tatum play more of a SF role next year with Brown at the SG. There are some solid options in FA, like PJ Tucker Nic Batum Bobby Portis. Or even aquire someone like a Robert Covington or Thaddeus Young via trade.

@@jorgewolff3753 20 PPG on a terrible team is simply garbage if James Harden played on that Hornets team he would've average averaged 35 a game and don't forget Kemba has played in 704 Career Regular Season games and has played in 381 Career Regular Season games where he shot 40% or worse from the floor and has had 3 Seasons shooting less than 40% from the floor which is just straight out unacceptable then we also can't ignore the fact that Kemba on the Hornets cost the Hornets so many games by bricking shots, Free Throws and blowing layups in crunch time to tie and take the lead and most of those games his team lost then he also went on a stretch of 23 straight missed shots without a make in the last 10 seconds in crunch which is not only one game but it's for stretches of games which is just pathetic the guy is a Career choker in the Regular Season who will never win a ring or Regular Season award and that's that.

You are forgetting one other Kemba trade option: Kemba + picks to unload his contract. Similar to what Philly did to get rid of Horford. Assuming the Celtics hire a player friendly coach, free agents would be drawn towards playing alongside the Jays. Future picks may have low value.

with Brad Stevens' system was about team ball. Celtics now have 3 players that dont really enjoy playing that way. Tatum is a star, Jaylen thinks he is, and Kemba was a star in Charlotte, but has to play 3rd to Tatum and Brown, which he isnt use to. This team will all depend on who they get to be the coach. Most times going back to a coach isnt great, but Hayward was a good fit with Stevens. Hayward was a 15 ppg 5 rpg 5 apg player. that is what is needed in a Stevens' system.

I don’t know man, trading Kemba isn’t impossible. The 6ers traded Horford, and many thought that was impossible. I know Al was making less money, and it’s also a front loaded deal, unlike Kembas. I just think the Celtics could use some picks or assets in order to unload Kemba for some average type player on a team with a ton of cap. The immediate problem solver and really one move they could pull off that would change things a bit would be creating cap by somehow trading Kemba and Smart, then making a run for Lonzo. Not sure how possible it is, but Zo would help this team gain back their elite defense and also be a much needed playmaker on offense.

I'm sure people are quick to go back at it, but the core of Tatum and Brown seem like an ideal fit with John Wall (when Healthy) He has the playmaking, slashing, and defensive tools to be a primary creator. It gives your two wings chance to work off ball/create in their spots, and he's MUCH better defensively than Kemba, Thomas, or Kyrie ever was. Say Boston trades Kemba & Fournier to Houston, draft compensation to OKC along with Ojeleye or Pritchard Houston sends John Wall and Eric Gordon to Boston Okc sends a couple seconds to Houston to get in on the deal .

If they can resign Fournier I say keep the same group Kemba-Smart-Brown-Tatum-Timelord Pritchard-Fournier-Langford/Nesmith/Parker-Thompson T If healthy that team can compete for a title. Look at the first 3 games vs Brooklyn. Game 1 nk Brown, 7 min left only down by 3. Game 2 blowout (Tatum only played 22 min) game 3 controlled the whole game won by 7.
