@@vikrantsood2053 do you think that they cheered right after the man picked Ray Jones up off the ground in order to display with that he thought Roy Jones won and that he lost? I don't know because I wasn't even around back then. But you say that the entire crowd was cheering but someone else is saying they were doing the opposite. Now I have to go watch the decision and the reaction one more time and pay more attention. Roy Jones has been a record from the very very beginning of this travesty, by saying that the opponent recognized Roy Jones jr. As the winner within the ring and when they were in their locker rooms. I want you to flip the script. If the very exact same thing happened with in the USA, do you think the crowd would not be cheering for the American who got the decision? I mean absolutely one hundred percent flip the script! Please tell me do you believe that the American crowd would not cheer if an American just won the gold medal according to judges? I'm like everybody else that's probably seen this video and absolutely believe that Roy Jones jr. Got robbed. I do not know what happened at that moment they Rose the hand of the Korean. I definitely need to go back and actually watch that part of the video. I ask you one more time if you believe that if it had been a flip of the script, do you believe Americans would had booed the decision or would have cheered and American even if they knew he didn't really win? I have to go back and check this out because you have me curious as a youngin here. Never one person say that Roy Jones did not win the fight. Right now I plan to stop this and go watch the raising of the hands and then also listen to the crowd. I'm going to come back and I'm going to tell you exactly what I hear and see upon the raising of the hands and the crowd cheering at what point. So we got one person that says they were there and if the crowd was silent at the reason of the hand. Then there's you who says that the crowd was cheering. The only way for me to figure this out is to go back and watch the end of the fight. I'll definitely come back and tell you you're right or you're wrong. Park is 100% an honorable man. I’m convinced that if he were little older and wiser at the time decision, he would have gone even further…and literally took the medal off his neck during the ceremonies, put it around Roy’s neck, pulled Roy up with him (so Roy would get up there), removing the Silver medal from Roy’s neck…before stepping down and leaving Roy standing on the medal Gold platform…with the gold medal around his neck. And Park would have them walked away leaving the Silver medal on the empty silver medal platform in protest (because he trust that all his fights before then weren’t tainted by corrupt judges). Park would have likely become a national hero of the US and S. Korea had he done that, but youth likely had him trying to appease those he perceived as more powerful. He may have even feared for his life to a certain extent…because a youthful mind doesn’t usually allow for in-depth insights into how to boldly navigate corrupt decisions.

100% honorable? He threw his hands in the air as if he had won when they announced him the winner. And he had no problem whatsoever hopping up on the stand and accepting a gold medal he knew he didn't win. And you call that honorable.

I have BIG respect for this man Park Si-Hun. He's an HONORABLE man. And honor is a rare commodity these days. As for the judges, I have to ask: Who was it that "wine and dined" them? Given that the Olympics is a national event I would not simply "suspect" that the true culprits were the politicians in Korea. I'm stating that it WAS!!!! It's the same ALL around the world. It goes on in EVERY country and nation. Yeah, the judges should've been fired. But that's just "putting out the embers of the fire".The actual "fire" was the decision!!! It's the politicians who are the arsonists... the people [behind the scenes] that set "the blaze". Also, I cannot say what I have without giving honor and respect to Roy Jones, Jr. The fact that he held NO ANIMOSITY toward Park who was just as stunned by the decision. BIG UPS to both of these boxers!! A class act!!!! Also, it is my hope that Park Si-Hun was able to accomplish his quest to regain his honor although (in my eyes) he never really lost it. He was a "political" pawn.

Good luck to Mr. Park Si-Hun.. Don't let someone else's corruption eat at you.. Absolutely no shame is losing to Roy Jones Jr. At the time no one on the planet could beat him..

He lost but fought as solid a fight as he probably could have being that outclassed.

He shouldn’t even been in the gold medal fight, he lost pretty much all his fights leading to the gold medal round

The quarterfinals especially. Nardiello literally had to be carried out of the building to keep from attacking the judges.

Good video but names of judges and photos of judges would’ve been better. Shame on those judges and the organizers. The Olympic Games are not what they’re made out to be. It’s a damn shame.

Judges Zaur Gvadzhava of the Soviet Union and Sándor Pajar of Hungary each voted for Jones, 60-56, on the 20-point must system. Alberto Duran of Uruguay and Hiouad Larbi of Morocco voted for Park, each by 59-58. Bob D. Kasule of Uganda gave 59-59 a draw, but decided that Park was more aggressive.

Park Si-hun is honorable for his admittance. There are athletes who won’t admit what he did.

What a great guy you could see he knew he’d lost hence why he lifted Jones! He was literally embarrassed! What a great guy

Against his will? He acts like he was forced to accept. He knew he lost and still stood on that podium. He can say he feels bad but his actions prove otherwise.

This was the worst steel that I have ever seen in a boxing match. I Saw it back in 1988 and I couldnt believe it.

He's seems like a nice fella and all that, granted. However, if he feels so strongly about the whole corrupt fix up then he should return his gold medal to the IOC. I know I would, to preserve my integrity, and it would be the right thing to do. Who wants a medal that is tainted?
