This was great to watch. All those big halibut and they didnt kill any of those big spawning females. Very different where I live, they catch and kill all the big females for the glory of having a big fish. There is no glory in killing off the species. Great video.

Sportquest Holidays how deep was the water you're fishing there? I've been wanting to do a trip to somewhere in northern europe or one of the islands to fly fish for atlantic salmon but now I want to go try for large halibut there on my fly rod.

jwfishak the water is around 25mtrs and the fight you get from them in such shallow water is awesome. Fly fishing for them would be a dream and something the guides over there are trying to achieve.
