Pittsburgh started off 7-0, and Eli Holstein was playing like arguably the best QB in the ACC, and then the wheels came off. This is up there with the blowout loss to Utah as one of the most embarrassing games in Pitt history. I have no stake in this team, but I've watched a lot of their games because I grew up in a Big East area, and this is rock bottom. You can't lose to a middle of the pack MAC team in a bowl game and be taken seriously. The ACC in general is an absolute joke, which is why Florida State and Clemson are looking to get out.

I would argue that a G5 team has the advantage in a bowl game vs P4. Most P4's will lose several players to the transfer portal as soon as the regular season ends most of which are either starters or high impact players in their rotations. G5 teams unless they have a highly touted player that could play just as good in a power league will remain largely intact.

Now bowl games don't matter because so many players change teams and go in the portal its more who can keep their roster together has the better chance to win now. Back in the BCS P5 had a much bigger advantage over G5 back then but that has been a long time ago.

Kenny Pickett was a crazy competitor and had great skills. This frosh qb will be solid in four years if he keeps competing. Pretty hard to keep glycogen up and stay 100% in a long game like this, especially for a smaller younger v of the dude. He'll bulk up and be solid

This game was atrocious by the Pitt defense especially the Secondary giving up big plays down field and also blown coverage in the end zone. The Panthers finish the season with 6 straight losses, UNACCEPTABLE!!!! Narduzzi since he has been the HC, has done nothing in the last several years; has not played in a major bowl game, not played in a CFB playoff game and more importantly, has not even played in a National Championship game. Narduzzi needs to be fired and Pitt needs to start searching for a new HC during the off-season (January - June) Panthers football is always mediocre and average at best with Narduzzi as the terrible HC.

I'll admit, when I saw that a 7-5 ACC team was playing a 7-5 MAC team, the thought, "This game is going to six overtimes" did not cross my mind. Also, am I the only one who got confused when they showed Pitt getting sacked back at the 25 yard line and then saw that they were reviewing and the ruling on the field was that the runner was short of the goal line? Now, I know that those were two different plays, but at the time, I was thinking, "Um, yeah, I think he might have been just a little bit short."
