This is the most underrated regular segment in all of sports. To have to individuals talking to each other on camera that have held their positions is incredibly rare in its own rate, but to have them be as candid and open as these two are is truly unique. It is a shame that more people don't appreciate this, and I am astounded this is more aggregated than it is.

As a long time listener, the little behind the scenes things you guys don't edit out in between segments are so great love peaking behind the curtain at naked fat Dan.

The ending was amazing. That look inside and the plans for how to improve were refreshing. PLEASE have them in the same space just talking to each other. I think that would help their chemistry tremendously. Davids jabs wouldnt come off nearly as awkward. Make it happen in the next studio buildout.

I agree with the idea of a PPV but the price point seems off the mark. I'm not sure that there would be as much interest if the barrier to entry would be $250 per household.
@JDub0623

Agreed.. I would just watch on-demand a day or so later before I paid $20-$30 tops (Maybe I'm cheaper than most 🤷‍♂️😆)
@Denvernate
@Denvernate Жыл бұрын
@@JDub0623 I think that live sports lose a great deal of their value the second they are any later than live. UFC and Boxing are able to capitalize on live events but cap out around $80 per event. You may be 'cheap' but you represent a larger percentage of how casual fans trying to watch just the halftime show would feel. Those most interested in the game would be the diehards and the fans of the actual teams. Outside of that, modest participation.

I don’t think it is a good idea for consumer but of course for business to make even more money. But nfl will find out how popular it truly is with that. Trust me viewership will drop if it goes to PPV. Casuals won’t bother. A party with small contributions to host would happen, but honestly I’d skip and I watch most redzone sundays. Disposable income is barely a concept to many people who currently watch. There are still many geographic areas without reliable internet but the show seems to think everyone is on Twitter, IG, or TikTok

Thank you for explaining the long term responsibilities of leadership John, the obsession with immediate earnings is causing havoc on our society in part aided by smartasses who think they’re being clever pointing out the obvious while missing the more important subtleties. They excuse those as less meaningful, when as you pointed out they often contain the most important elements to the holistic whole. This shit is hard to put in words, agree y’all can get more in with polish but just trying is a big step forward 🙌🏼 I for one see it as a smart convo, even when I’m shouting at you… and Witty is the perfect host for this, excited to keep watching this develop. Hopefully more people in positions to add like you will follow

Love the convo, great point on Super Bowl being an event less about the NFL and more about our collective interest for a day to party and enjoy sports and culture 🙂 game couldn’t have been better and couldn’t mean less in the national zeitgeist. People are already bored of Mahomes greatness and he’s just getting started. Rihanna’s pregnancy and the Jesus ads were more of a talking point then the game. Culture used to be a small add on to help bring in a wider audience, and now it’s the point and the game is less important to the Super Bowl experience. Again, game couldn’t have been better and it couldn’t mean less. But big numbers so NFL is doing great.

If the nfl went to pay per view I would never watch a game again
@CodyVanRyn

Putting the Super Bowl behind a paywall would really hurt viewership, too many casual folks that count for ad reach wont pay for a single game like that, which will lead to advertisers having less interested in the mass messaging (and mass dollars) and would signal the end of the Super Bowl as an American moment of unity, but would lean more into the gambling world, but look at boxing, once they turned that to pay per view, casual fans stopped caring, and now hardly anyone cares about boxing.

much more a fan of the show than of sports but find david samson & the business side interesting though .... i believe the term you're looking for on announcers is diminishing returns if they only have to reach a certain threshold to be good and anything beyond that isn't of much note

In order to make profits from trading you need loads of experience and a well defined strategy, which most traders don't have. If you trade without the proper preparation, you're most likely to lose your money. Identify the buy/sell ratios and identify the market leaders and most importantly. Diversify! this will help you spread risk.
