Peter Morgan. What a fabulously plummy accent and pleasingly modulated voice. His voice sounds like the cars look :) Could have made a living in radio broadcast.

This is probably the only British car factory that didn't suffer work stoppage due to a strike during the 1970s...

This must've been around the time Soichiro Honda said that someday there'd only be four or five automakers in the world, "plus Morgan, of course."

Visited the factory in 76 and returned to Aus with a Plus4 which replaced the 65 4/4 I had sold. Now an ageing V12 E Type driver on theGold Coast. Loved the Morgan and the factory..

That wheelbarrow chassis is STILL the basis of the modern models. Love the way he say to (paraphrase) " we were happy building them with three wheels, but struggled a bit with the idea of having 4 wheels" LOL!

Just watched the 'Troubleshooter' documentary from 1990 when they had a 12 year waiting list. So they were doing ok in the 70's. Good to see that today they are still going and have sorted their marketing problems.

Plus 8 £3375. The equivalent modern Morgan at least £50k. And there children is a practical example of inflation!

Morgan is the type of car brand who’ll give Doug DeMuro a heart attack when they invite him to check through their quirks and cool features of their factory

Yes... he would love the drive, laugh hysterically and then thrash it with a poor Doug score.

Doug DeMuro is pathetic - too much attention to interior, only general information about engine(s) and tells nothing about chassis and suspension.

In the 1970s the relationship between your income and the cost of buying one was balanced.......but today the cost of even the base level car is way ahead of average income . I remember having a heated discussion with Derrick Day and Peter Morgan over quality issues on my new Morgan I won in the end !
