We’re a missionary family that has just moved from Africa to the US. My kids start American school next week and we’re terrified and excited all at the same time. This was well-timed encouragement, thank you!

The kids deserve a lot of praise because you can see they are focused and work diligently at their tasks, be it a sports competition or studying for exams. And always with a smile on their faces. You raised them so well! The trail looked interesting too, it's cool you're always looking for new places or routes to stay active and enjoy the beautiful neighbourhoods Japan has to offer!

We are entering the rainy season from the comfortable season. I was so impressed with Joshua and Sarah's hard work. I believe you will be able to practice and get results next year. Anna and Becca are looking more mature these days. They both look so nice.

Your kids must be praised because they prepared and trained a lot for Undokai. As you set wonderful devices, your church becomes a kind of broadcasting center. New challenges make us greater, richer and wiser. Thank you for your vlog.
You and your family's Japanese has improved exponentially! Kudos to you all.

Your children had enjoyed undoukai at the primary school. And your family looks like very happy. Also, makes me feel happy, too. Thank you very much.

Joshua reads it very well. Good job. Kanji writing is coming in a couple of years, I guess. The homework is the hardest point enough to cry I remember. Hang in there.
All your kids' individuality really showed in this video. Let's face it. You are a loving, fun couple, and you really work and play at parenthood. This was so refreshing! Now back to my work.
Thank you for the encouraging words at the end of the video. I am facing a first in my life. On July 11th I‘ll start my first job. Being an adult scares me at the moment and I sometimes want to cry. But I can‘t wait for the rainbow to come out and cheer me up. Everyone else experiencing a „first“: Please look up! You are awesome! You can make it!

Aww you all are such a loving family hope you all have a blessed weekend and take care 💗🙏😊
This seems so much more fun than the athletics day we always had to do at my schools. These games are fun and interesting, we just had regular athletics.

Sports day looks super fun! I keep forgetting that Anna and Becca are in Japanese school because you guys always speak in English. They are amazing at bilingual. Do you know the title of Josh's s Japanese storybook? I'm learning Japanese too , and would like to try and get it (if I could in my country) .

How often do they have undokai? They should do something like that in American schools (other than the once a year field day)
@LIJ2 жыл бұрын
It's once a year - pretty much the Japanese version of field day. But the last two years it's been way different because of COVID, so I was so glad that this year the masks were optional for the sports and they did the competition.

It's nothing compared to Japanese Sports Day, but where I live there's a Track & Field Day for elementary students. Those competing from all the elementary schools would go to the University's football stadium (there's only 1 university and 1 college). The activities are ball throw, relay, 100m, 400m, 1500m, long jump, and triple jump. You get ribbons that state what you participated in and what place you got.
