That's not Jeff Gordon its Indy Car driver Arie Luyendyk he was punched by former Indy driver AJ Foyt.

@@patrickgray5633 Thanks. That occurred in the True Value 500 when Arie protested that he won the race and that the scoring error gave Billy Boat the unofficial victory, and Foyt was Billy's owner.
