That is the most valuable video on progressing in flying I have seen so far, and it confirms a lot of my gut feeling. For instance after a day at work (you know I'm a sodtware developer), my mental capacity is gone. I can only fly stuff that is stored down in my spine. In the morning before work, that is where the magic happens. Awesome video!

Perfect on the field. Not on the sim. EXCELLENT advice. I think I intuitively knew that, but it really helps to hear it from an expert.

despite my relatively young active-duration in this hobby, i can find myself relating quite well with a lot of Andy's pointers as I do act on them to some extent myself.

Thanks for the positive comment. Despite your short duration in the hobby the learning never stops so plenty to look forward to.

@@rcheliperformance keeps me alive every day lol. i'd also like to comment that while richard doesn't seem to affected by TTPP conditions a lot, i happen to be one of those that does get affected more misc conditions such as flight location with a different backdrop ie tall buildings in back ground and tight spaces with buildings or trees on the side or unfamiliar locations. it's at least reassuring to realize from this video that it's not just a 'me' thing and it seems to imply it is very normal to feel uncomfortable to new conditions and also very normal to dial it down until we are familiar with the conditions, for one.

That was really interesting, getting in the right mindset is a big thing i think, because i fly alone is probably the reason i struggle learning new stuff because ive never seen it done before

Yeah, I didn't think watching videos was going to be a big thing, but it exposes you to what's possible.

Really great video guys, useful tips and techniques to to think about and apply to heli flying progression. Took me back to the early days of the Flybar discord server with Andy's tech talk on the same subject

I'd forgotten about that. I probably tried to record it, but we lost that one too 🤦‍♂

I've played snooker and played with Rc helicopters since I was 21 and all I can say is that this guy is dead on the money on everything he says. If I had applied his theory to both sports 20 years ago I would be much better off.
