Man Jamal Crawford legit had Velcro on his hands the way he handled the rock

Literally born to hoop. It keeps him young too. He 40 and can still play like he 30

Jamal Crawford doesn’t age. He still looks like he still belongs in the NBA

I learned to play up in Portland. We used to play in the rain, the cold and on metal nets. The wind would come over the hills at yhe Multnomah center and it would be so cold your fingers freeze and crack. And you still played with the cracked bleeding fingers. That's a true love of the game.
@206legend34 ай бұрын
It’s a Seattle thing. As kids we use to hoop before school 7am 30 degrees full Run.!! Nothing like it.!!

The fact hes not still in the league right now, even if just as an OG vet that helps younger guys on and off the court...just shows whats lacking in the league right now. These kids are freak athletes but IQ and experience is lacking. Guys like Jamal would definitely help to bridge the gap for some of these kids.

This reminds me of two other players. Glen Rice reportedly used to shoot in the dark because he figured if he could shhot when it was dark, it would be easier to shoot during games. Also, I heard Kyrie used to dribble with a plastic bag on the ball for the same reason Crawford dribbled in the rain.

Shooting in the dark? Thats crazy.

A great ball handler that often gets overlooked was Isaiah Thomas of the Detroit Pistons

@@JamusChristus not talking about him as a player, it's his ball handling skills, a lot of videos that are about the best NBA ball handlers they always mention Jordan, Alvin Robertson, Magic, Stockton, they rarely mention Thomas who is one of the best if not the best during his era

My daddy put a tebnis ball in our basketball. That ball bounced all over the place. He gave me another ball one day and it felt like a magnet to my hands. Thank u daddy

Oh Snap! That’s dedication right there! I myself found a lumpy soccer ball at the store and I dribble that around extra carefully. Know exactly what you mean, a regular ball feels likes it’s glued to my foot now. 😂

Bro said he NEVER DID A CONE DRILL IN HIS LIFE!! 😳

What's interesting is that Magic and Zeke did the same thing. I can only imagine Zeke out there in that Hawk with mittens when he was 9. I can only imagine Ervin at 10 (being almost 6ft tall) dribbling in a driveway after he shoveled the snow.
@KxngKUDA5 ай бұрын
Jamal has the most organic handles in history. It's like, you can tell he's never done these cliche cone drills, but you also knew he worked insanely hard on his handle. Like he dribbles with the same casuality of walking. Which is why you can never put in a box and predict what he wants to do or where to go.

When they still had the show nba access with ahmad rashad in the 2000's I remember a episode when they were talking to baron davis speaking to him about his upbringing and he said he use to put a bag over the ball and would dribble in the rain in the streets.The hunger to dribble and play basketball is REAL

It's crazy how from our music-all the way down to our work ethic-Seattle's environment finds its way into the identity of the people who live there. You could argue Seattle's Mount Rushmore might be Bruce, Jimi, Kurt, and Jamal. Bruce strived to "be water" in the way that he focused and trained, Kurt embodied the dreariness of the PNW and changed music forever, and Jamal turned himself into the best ball handler ever by practicing in the rain. Jimi's connection is less clear-but his most popular song was "Purple Rain" so let's throw him in there too.

Climate training works. Every year I used to go back to Florida to visit my dad and he would train me in that high temp and humidity. I would almost pass out sometimes. But when I got back to Georgia I would be running circles around ppl and would barely break a sweat

wear a thin wool glove on non-shooting hand to dribble as you shoot around. do that for a while and once the glove comes off youll have insane control of the ball (derrick coleman also recommends this technique) [trust us it works]

That’s a legit technique. I used to put my basketball in a plastic bag and it became hard to dribble but when I took the bag off the ball was like a part of my body

i didnt know that cus i hate when i practice outside and my ball gets wet or wet and then dirty after rollin on the dirt from a miss and so much dirt on it that its hard to dribble but when this happens ima stop tryna get the dirt off or just takin a break ima dribble through it to increase my ball control
