Welcome to Texas style baseball haha "The little things matter" At my high school the coach would make the team run if just one person was out of place. If you forgot your hat you'd wear a helmet to practice and he would make you run like a quarter of practice and then the player would join in while wearing the helmet the whole time lol At least a lot of successful programs are like that and every high school coach in my city is the same too.

It's Life my school is also in Texas and you operates very similarly. Every item you forget equals 1 mile of running. Also,if you are late you run a mile,or if you don’t show up it’s a mile.

Not from Texas but my high school coach would use a bat to cup check players and make everyone a mile for each player not wearing a cup.

it might not. most high school players have to do all of the field jobs which include things like dragging the infield, sweeping the dugouts, cleaning the mounds in the bullpens and on the field, sweeping dirt off of the grass back onto the rest of the dirt, watering the field, etc. It would absolutely not cost them my commitment.
