How things have changed since the late "60's football campaigns. The facilities have improved to the level deserved by a quality football program. Artus "Smitty" Smith was our equipment guy. I think it would be impossible for any university football program to beat the people who support the Falcons' effort on the field. 'Bolts' from 1969

Can someone explain to me how you can become a D-1 athlete and play for the military. I’m genuinely confused on the process
@mercnsiku155 жыл бұрын
They play for their respective sports and then after they finish with college they serve in the military unless they are good enough to make it in the nfl, nba, etc so then I think they serve when they are done with their professional job
@ezrabriskin83185 жыл бұрын
Mercidi Nsiku i think that they serve in the military no matter what after college and then can play professionally after
@MetroLime5 жыл бұрын
Military academies do their recruiting just like any other D-1 colleges, however athletes are less likely to commit to a military academy because they will most likely have to serve a certain amount of years in the military after graduation. However, if they play well enough in the academy to get drafted to play the sport professionally such as to the NFL, they have the option to defer their required military service and become a member of the reserve to play the sport professionally.

Well I had season tickets to the AF football games at Falcon Stadium prior to the pandemic. And although I enjoyed the games I was not a big fan of the stadium. The seat "benches" were concrete and the assigned seat area must have been designed for a very small person, you rubbed shoulders with the person sitting next to you throughout the whole game. To solve part of the problem I would rent a folding cushioned seat available at the stadium. At some time during the game there was always that bathroom call and to walk up the stairs to the bathroom was like a climb up Mt. Everest. Way too steep, I think if I coughed during my ascent I would have landed on the fifty yard line. The bathrooms', urinal area (men's, of course), was a wall. No privacy, you lined anywhere along the wall and waited your turn. Better not talk to the guy standing next to you because if he turned to talk to you you'd get more than you bargained for. The good news, the Academy is giving the stadium a make over for which I have made several donation's hoping they will inscribe my name over (perhaps) a new urinal. GO AIR FORCE
