She is very good, dont get me wrong on that. However, she hardly ever sticks the landing. How is her score so good? She either hops back, double steps. She even stepped completely out of bounds several times and still got a fantastic score. Ive been watching gymnastics since Nadia and Mary Lou. I know what a perfect landing looks like. Im just so confused?

She scores high despite the landings because her skills are so much harder than pretty much every gymnast in the world. So even with deductions for landings (which trust shes gotten) her start values are so high the deductions dont knock her score down that far compared to other gymnast scores. Also some of the skills she competes require a ron of power which is hard to control once airborne thus the extra power in her landings (no stick)

What's pathetic is Simone quitting during the Olympics. I don't know where she's from. But I was always taught once you start you finish. Win or lose. That's a cardinal rule. Champions do not quit!!!!! The fact that people are still calling her the best is pathetic! Sky Brown seriously injured herself on Tony Hawks ramp training for the Olympics and went forward to win bronze at 13. They also made a Barbie Doll in her likeness to commemorate her. No she didn't win gold. But Skye is a True Champ! Simone also looks spoiled, especially if things don't go her way. That's not a champ. Sorry.

So she falls short of Champion. Champs don't quit. However, she is wealthy. 22M. Had she not quit on a world stage, she would be a champion. Even if she didn't win any medals. It's that what you tell your kids? Quit when the going gets tough, or doesn't go your way? No we tell them to finish win or lose. That applies to everything, not just sports. She set a really bad example. And her first response was something about men objectifying women??? Look up Skye Brown. Watch what happens to her while training. She was slated to be the youngest Olympian ever. She did not quit. That's huge and inspiring. A true Champ.
