Great tip on keeping relax, I was wondering why I was using all my strength but still not getting good power.

I couldn’t spike before because I couldn’t reach the net (I’m like 4’9) so this majorly helped me when I practice and watching other videos on how to jump higher so when I figured how to jump higher it was easier to “spike” the ball during practice

Great perspective in going up to get the ball rather than waiting for it to come down to you. And they're all doing the contact with fingers down.

Add this to your Save folder. This was a Great video. There was only one Girl out of the group that had all the skill sets Misty discussed. I am not being critical at all, they all have natural talent. That said, each player needs to work each skill set. I drill my daughter on each one of these...unfortunately for her, because of bad mechanics...and we have video evidence, from the beginning of the season her approach and hitting the ball at her highest. Digressed into short-arming her hits with no follow thru. This has resulted in a Scapula (shoulder) injury. From all the video we have of her, there are other issues as well....such as very inconsistent sets. Notes on server receive. S/R is a ballet of three players...setters should know each hitter preference of ball location...most of all....Attacker (Striker)....."you can NOT commit to the set to early....hesitate..." "make certain you know where the ball is going". The set may be twice the height of the net... You can wait until the ball is at its Apex then start your approach. Trust me, the ball isn't going to move any faster that gravity will allow. Your part of this ballet is patients. I don't know HOW many balls are hit; Long, into the net or killed into the block for an in your face stuff....because the attacker starts to early. Only then realizing the ball is low and quick or long. !4, 15U a sec hesitation will make a world of difference. At 14U, most blockers / defense are watching the ball too and they'll have to leap and will be out of sink. Most blocks at 14-15 are flat hands so you can use the attack as an offensive weapon. The ballets crescendo comes down to the the hitter, her approach, jump and where she strikes the ball This video is a great skills tool....remember: Amatures practice so to get it right. Professionals practice so they don't get it wrong
