I am a cricketer lover but why do we want to invest for a cricket tournament when it's doubtful the Windies will even win 1 match. Plus will facilities be used afterwards. I agree investment is needed however thinking Jamaica has the ability to do this is misguided. A different sport, but Australia, who are wealthier, have similar issues with Rugby Union. The UK funds sports, at elite level, through the Lottery. The professional sports are the ones to fund their grass roots sports. Local business also needs to step up and sponsor sports as well.

I can't understand what this woman is talking about, it sound more like nonsense to me! Jamaica does not have the money to spend on every sport; and Cricket is not a big deal in Jamaica. What I hear from her is, never mind all the money the Government spending on Highway Project, Houses for the poor, Education, Free training for young people, so they can be part of the workforce, and Public Sector Improvement to facilitate business development and productivity.
