Does anyone often forget some of our injured players, because I do! Jarnkrok, Haakinpaa, McCabe, and above all, Stolarz. I pray we get some players back soon, mostly McCabe and Stolarz. Even Haakinpaa, we haven't seen him FULLY deliver on his game yet. I bet he'll be a re-sign, I think his upside is TREMENDOUS for this club. And can't forget poor Jarnkrok. He would enable Berube to make drastic changes on the fly, mid-game, because Calle is so versatile! We can't complain, some teams have it much worse. I just can't help but daydream about a fully healthy roster,, and the damage they could do! I think Haakinpaa would slot right into 2nd pairing defense with McCabe out, or 3rd pair with McCabe in. I really, really wanna see Haakinpaa cook! And Stolarz needs to get back, just to get a feel for the pace and rhythm, so he can find himself and remain a God among mere non-Godlike NHL'ers!!

Nick is right though about C men. A centreman by the nature of the position is to distribute the puck to players that are in advantageous positioning. They are too often in 50/50 plays or trailing the play because of other responsibilities to hold the puck as much as our centre man do without negative impacts on the team’s overall play

Kipper is dumb sometimes . He said the Carolina game wasn’t as bad at Vancouver game. The leafs were winning that game and it was close after two periods . 3rd period was fairly close but they scored and got the empty netter . Leafs never scored a single goal against Vancouver ….

I feel like when Matthews is in the lineup the team plays to things that make Matthews comfortable, as opposed to what is best for the team at that time. So in a way, although he's a 69 goal scorer, he makes the team worse overall, especially noticeable on the power play

Try Marner down the middle. He's the most defensively responsible forward and the best passer on the team. Get him on a line with McMann on one side and Robertson on the other. Both of those guys can shoot the puck and it gives you 3 lines to roll. He's gotta work on his faceoffs, but otherwise it could really make for a matchup nightmare for other teams. Domi - Matthews - Knies, Nylander - Tavares - Pax. Perfect time to try something new.

This is the first year that I have trouble watching a Leafs game to the end. I've never been so disappointed at the play. They have been very lucky to be where they are. Goaltending is the reason they've won so much.

Matthews needs to go on LTIR. Sign Laughton and get a top D because Reilly has been awful . OEL is not a top 4 he’s gotta play on 3rd line. If matthews goes on LTIR maybe they can get someone better then Laughton like a kadri or miller . Get a top 4 Dman, Colin Murphy ???

Another interesting tidbit: Bookies have Edmonton as Cup favorites right now. Toronto sits at #4 or #5, depending on the site. How do you feel about the Leafs chances against this Oilers group?? I think the Leafs' eviscerate them. Contain McDavid (which is a tough task for any team, but it's possble!) -- and then let Marner, AM34, Nylander, Tavares, and the group go full on cook mode. Even Knies, McMann, Robertson, and Jarnkrok would light it up! Goaltending?? Pshhhh -- not even fair. Stolarz and Woll 99/100.. That's a Cup final I would expect the buds to win!

This defence is no difference than it has been all year with holes, same as three center but tre is not fixing it so we can gel everyone together. Big lose with McCabe out but they have needed another one all year same as center.

It is funny that 3 days ago everyone was so happy about leafs saying it’s different. They lose two in a row since and now everyone saying there bad. McCabe will come back , hopefully Matthews’s gets better and Reilly and we keep first place . Hopefully we make a trade and get Laughton , and another D man.
