Shows you how important jake McCabe is to our team. His presence and hard play rubs off on the whole team. McCabe plays hard and stands up for his whole team every night. Matthews needs to take this page out of McCabe's book and become this type of player. This is what captains do

At this point, why bother having different lines for the power play? Just run lines 1 and 2 on PP. They can make their plays with a good chance of finding an open man for 2 minutes. Keep it simple.

Lol yes it is the same emotional fans over reacting year after year too. They’ve been a complete bust in the playoffs, but I think for once they’ve got a decent goalie in Stolarz that could actually steal some games. And a pretty good blue line when healthy. So that alone makes them contenders. They just can’t score goals when’s time to score goals. Hopefully that changes

Right now, I have no confidence in this teams ability to score. It's a 3 goal league. Scoring less than 3 is likely going to end in a loss.

They did hit 4 goalposts until halfway into the game. Other than Duchene’s sick goal the others were deflections and a stray puck. Having said that they weren’t playing with any urgency. Big boys look stale.

Lol 3 days ago y’all said we cup contenders now they lose a few games it’s all over . Leafs fans switch up so fast . McCabe will be back soon and Stolarz in few weeks and we will be fine. With Florida not playing as well I think this is the best chance for leafs to go deep .

Do you ever see Matthews barking on the bench during a dog effort game? I get he's not that kind of leader but it's also because he's the first guy dogging it these days. I've said it here before and I'll say it again, Mattews might be my favourite player in the league but he sets an awful example all the time now.

If you don't have a bottom six that can get you a goal, your done. Leafs bottom six is an absolute joke. I've thought this all year and I'll continue until they actually produce at least goal a game. Its take all 4 lines to win championships and all 4 have to be able to produce at a reasonable NHL level.

Nylander is a terrible team player. Any good moments he has are ruined by his constant puck hogging that nearly always results in a turnover. If he has the puck for more than 1 second 9/10 it’s gonna be a turnover. He works best only on breakaways and one timers, that’s it.
