My favourite thing about these talks, aside from 99% alignment with your combined takes, is that "The Dork Brothers" genuinely ride the same emotional wave as the rest of Leafs Nation. Sammy got super intense and with good reason I believe. JD's pod about no longer putting effort into excusing or buffering the truth, especially when effort is lacking from our Boys in Blue (and White), is precisely what all of us feel and struggle with. Fandom is hard. Emotionally hard. Very much like a long relationship that you are invested in and hate to love and love to hate things about the other but can't quit them because you are loyal and that love is part of who you are. To be a fan of any other team would be disingenuous and a weak ass compromise. So no more excuses but that doesn't mean no more heart ache. Was that the last in season Devils game? We swept them in pretty exciting fashion. Did they do a tribute to Keefe? I didn't see the opening of the game prior to puck drop.

Yeah JD and Sammy were off base on their comments re: Willy. He was excellent all night , competed hard and of course 2 clinical finishes and 3 points. OEL was good tonight as well. Moved the puck well and had some good looks in the OZ. His first penalty was Dewar’s fault Nice of Matthews to make an appearance- long overdue

On the 2nd OEL penalty, it looked like Mercer was holding him and the ref didn't call it or see it. He does need to be better and he also needs to realize he is Not on the Frikken Florida Panthers anymore!!!

Rielly has been good for 30% of his career over the past 5 years. So that is 70% he has been horrible. Fact is they would be better if he was not on the team and had that money freed up, but not happening.
