“Easy save by Anderson.” I appreciate these highlight videos, but I don’t understand why 60% of some of them consist of easy shots on goal in the 1st period, and then we have to speedrun the 2nd and 3rd periods (because they clearly don’t want the videos to be much longer than 10 minutes).

Its because they wanna upload the highlights as soon as the game ends, so they collect and edit the clips as the game progresses. If they fill up a large chunk of time with 1st period clips, they can already have the video mostly finished and ready to upload by the end of the 3rd. If they spread out the highlights more evenly, they would still be editing in the 3rd period clips a while after the game ended, risking some other higjlights channel uploading first and taking views

@@sdhjsjana72js I hear that, and I hate to be this guy, but when I worked at ESPN as a PA, we would cut the highlights in real time with an editor when it came to tight deadline stuff. You’re adding stuff and taking stuff out as the action is happening, knowing you have to hit a video length and time slot in the show. Not sure why a similar process wouldn’t be in effect for these highlights

It's their overall team D, that's what's great about the canes, they don't give up many prime scoring chances and they have guys who get timely goals, orlovs snipe, Aho snipes. Tough smothering defense.

Last couple of years Canes fell short because of goaltending and not scoring enough, so far they score goals that is not all high % chances and Andersen have been in beast mode. LFG!

Ok I was just looking at the scores and schedule, can someone explain why teams playing within driving distance get 2 days off between games 2-3 while others that are plane rides away only get 1. I say bs to the nhl for that schedule Hoping for a Kings v Rangers rematch for the Cup.

A lot of it has to do with TV and arena availability if a city also has an NBA team in the playoffs at the same time. Not the best reasoning of course, but thats more or less why the playoffs ate structured this way.

I was calling this series and the Rangers Capitals series for a sweep. Looks like I might be right on a couple of my brackets. Tampa getting swept is a possibility but one I never considered. Dallas getting swept could happen too but I was calling Dallas to win that in 7 games. Wish my team would start putting some players on LTIR and load up for the cup run, working well for Vegas.

If Vegas wins Lord Stanley more teams will do the LTIR loop hole next season because that will mean 4 of the last 6 cups were won using that strategy. I applaud Tampa and Vegas for using this to their advantage and laugh at the league board and Bettman for not addressing this as it was so predictable. I dislike Vegas but am rooting for them to make these men look foolish.
