If the Oilers win we lost to the Cup winning team and there is no shame in that, not only that Dallas lost in 6, LA in 5 and the Canucks went 7 and lost by one goal. I just wanna see a Canadian team win a Cup already and next year is our year.👍

Seeing the players (especially my hockey hero Nuge) in their Western Conference Champion hats, gathering around the Clarence Campbell Bowl, there's just no words to describe how happy I am right now! I watch games at 3:00 am before work, but damn it's worth it guys)))) I can't even imagine what a tough final is in store for us. The Panthers are a very solid and stable team, and Bobrovsky is a real beast (by the way, hello to everyone who said his transfer was a failure). The oilers showed how much depth they have and how far they have come this game, they solved their biggest weaknesses: goaltending and defensive play. Stu skinner played absolutely amazing this game and honestly the whole series. All defensmen looked solid blocking shots and taking their man and clearing pucks out, they shut down the stars. Oilers Defense def increased to a high level like no one expected, not even me couple months back. Stars had no PPG in the series, they gonna shut down Panthers PP. Defense wins games. McDavid seems to be back to his playoff standard 110% strength. He seems to have healed fully right on time for the Stanley cup finals. Skinner was also on fire tonight which makes bringing home the Cup look very possible.

I feel bad Dallas lost with such a big effort, but as an American I still am happy to see a Canadian team back in the final round. That said, I still will probably root for Florida because they've had to put up with their state rival rubbing their cup wins in their face. If Edmonton wins, I won't be upset, I look forward to some good hockey!

Yeah , Skinner got a lot of criticism leveled against him ( incl. from me ) after those play off exits in the recent years. Good for him to not completely cave and go mad under this extreme level of attention on him. It probably would have only been even worse , would he be on MTL or TOR in the same situation. Let's see if he can repeat this in the Finals. History says North American goalies are heavily favored when facing Euro goalies in the Finals, but history also favores US teams when facing Canadians since over 30 years now when the J took over as commissioner.

The Panthers are an extremely difficult team to play against. Barkov is an absolute beast and is by far the best defensive forward I've seen this year. Tremendous matchup for McDavid.
