Ravi Ashwin was stupendous when India and Bangladesh faced each other on Day 1 of the opening Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. He scored an unbeaten 102 and bailed India out of jail after the home team was reduced to 144 for six in 42.2 overs. He came to bat at No.8 and played his shots right from the outset.
Ashwin got to his fifty off 58 balls, after which he racked up his hundred off 108 deliveries. He joined hands with Ravindra Jadeja and built a partnership of 195 along with Ravindra Jadeja for the seventh wicket. On the back of his knock, India finished the first day at 339 for the loss of six wickets in 80 overs.

Since 2015, Virat has been most incomplete test batsman of india because even a defensive batsman like Cheteshwar Pujara used to constantly come down the wicket against spinners to hit boundaries or take singles but Virat would neither come down the wicket, nor he plays sweeps, he does not play backfoot shots, stopped playing pull shots too plus he does not have enough patience to keep leaving balls outside off stump so he has to do something very quickly otherwise even his place in the team would be in question.(I am not his hater by any means but really frustrated with his underperformance in test cricket so badly want big runs from him in next innings).

Fact of matter is Shub Gill is not one down player, he should be wait for opening slot in test , Pujaara might be feeling a being apartheid, he could still serve at no 3 as he is only a single format player , if you still don't want Pujaara then Gaikwaad his ideal replacement Virat is continuously not even close the standard which he set few years before, he is not up to his repo.. KL Rahul also looking to loose his position soon if he doesn't play something outstanding innings..
