Thank you, this technique helped me out big time. Had to spend money on tools but good to learn something new. I tightened all bolts with a breaker bar instead of torque wrench, now just need to put pegs on

Thank you Allan! I have not installed the V&H but I have done plenty of exhaust installs. You will want to do everything very carefully, especially when you tighten the exhaust to the cylinder head. be sure to use new gaskets, tighten evenly a little pressure at a time on each stud alternating. Figure out how to get a torque wrench in there if possible, you don't want it too loose or to tight, both can result in a broken stud.

@@allantetereault8271much easier with the V&H short shots, I only had to loosen the rear pipe and move it out just enough to get to all the bolts for the brake booster and bracket…

I'm not sure I understand the question but want to make sure I get you the answer. Did you mean bolts? They come with the kit. I'm not sure what size they are. You can always check a harley parts list for the sportster to verify though

I put the same after market kit on and after I hit 4th gear it started acting up losing power in the middle of the road I have the 883 2020 iron what could make it loser power

Did you remove any exhaust system parts during the install? If so you may have a leaking exhaust gasket.

@@devincombs4512 Loss of power is usually related to an issue with air, fuel, compression or an ignition issue with getting a spark. None of these should be happening to a 2020 bike. The only thing I can think of is maybe a mouse moved into the air cleaner over the winter.

Instead of the adjustable wrench use a 1/4 in wrench. The circle end will give you more grip to fully tighten!

Hey: You could have used a small Open-End wrench.

Exactly, but I didn't have the right size. You can also use a Chapmen tool which would have been even better. Either way I am glad I didn't remove my exhaust like all the videos before mine said was required - Thanks for watching
