What is that front pulley and doe sit need any kind of bearing? Is that the standard casing you have fitted, just spaced out? I am trying to build a hardtail sporty using that very V Rod Wheel and would appreciate any advice you can give me.
@colinbinstead38138 жыл бұрын
Hi the front pulley is steel and 1" off set, no bearing provided you run the belt no more than 1" off set ! to achieve this the belt will need to be very close to the tyre 3mm is the clearance i have. to do this i used NEW Harley-Davidson V rod 2007 & later Chrome Sprocket Compensator Bowl 40541-05 and slightly packed out the pulley to make the clearance . use washers as axle spacers to start so you can constantly make adjustments. Ps nothing fits ,casings brackets ect all made to fit. Cheers
@crewgadjy8 жыл бұрын
Right the sprocket / pulleys I was looking at 1.75” Atlas Pulley or a sprocket that states the it is 2.5" wide overall and 2-1/8" to the inside of the teeth. So your saying I need to look at the rear sprocket as well and get it mounted to within 3mm of the tyre, then use a 1” Offset front. Mine is hardtail anyway so everything has to be made. lol How many miles have you got on the clock since you did this mod? Are you on the Sportster Sickness UK Page on Facebook?

Because american Harley riders surely care more about coefficients and the minute sciences of handling more than having a bigger contact patch to go down never ending impossibly straight roads that cross 90% of the country, and are the majority of any roadway
