Bloody lovely, grin inducing bike. Spring and the open road beckon! :-)

Hi Peter, cant wait to see you out on the Enfield, you'll have to get the old school riding attire, ahh I can smell the waxed cotton from here.

Really Nice looking IRON there Bud, sounds good to

Do you have any sort of tank lift? Wondering how that might effect mirror clearance or if they would hit the tank with a lift. I have the same bars and mirror set up and they just barely clear when turning the steering. Thanks!
@Vuduthulhu9 жыл бұрын
Did you have to change any of the cables to install these bars?

Beautiful bike my friend! Love the look its got, pure motorcycle. Sounds great also! I was going to get the 72 but ended up with a great price on mine. Stay upright and safe.
@streetbob88310 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks Blue, It's not a 72, it's 883 Iron, I just picked up the tank and some other stuff on ebay over winter, and changed the look.

Really nice bike, mine is sort of the same style as yours. Two questions if you will, what seat is that, looks Le Pera something and what pipe are you running, thing sounds awesome. Thanks!
@streetbob88310 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks, yeah its a Le Pera silhouette i think, and a V+H competition two into one

Hey man, your bike looks great.. congrats! you had to change all the cables for new handlebars? this is a biltwell zed bar right?
@streetbob88310 жыл бұрын
Hi Diogo No I didn't have to change anything, but the break line was tight it just made it, I would advise you change it, I did change it later when I fitted risers And had to reroute the clutch cable between the headlight and the forks. Yeah your right there biltwell Z bars 6" rise.

Hey man! What’s it like riding with that width bars? Is it good for the twisties in the U.K.? How about motorway higher speed etc?
@streetbob8834 жыл бұрын
Hi ,Yeah its fine, just takes a wee while to get use to them,
@petergoddard19608 жыл бұрын
18 months on and I'm paying even more attention to this fantastic Iron than ever! So, obviously you ride a big twin now, but looking back, how much of an improvement did you see from the stage one? Obviously, the sound from the V&H Competition Series is wonderful, and you were bringing plenty of air in too, but did it make that much difference? Also how did the burly shocks perform? I gather they're fairly unforgiving, despite the wonderful slammed look. You'll realise that I'm asking because I'm contemplating one of the new Irons, possibly with a 1200 kit, to run alongside the Enfield. Alternatively, I could just about stretch to a Street Bob with a stage One but not much else initially. I'd love to know what you think! Cheers mate!
@streetbob8838 жыл бұрын
+pgod1960 Hi Peter Yeah I miss the Iron it was a fun wee bike, and looks good even in standard form. I would say the stage one makes a difference, maybe not a great difference, but it sounds faster lol, and maybe that encourages you to drive different , I took the baffles out my Suzi AP 50 in 1978, I was convinced it went faster. The Burlys were stiff but not too bad I had them on the Street Bob as well, and would definitely fit them again I had a set of progressives on the Bob first and found them maybe even a bit stiffer. it's hard to tell with the state of the roads, ( let's not go there)
@petergoddard19608 жыл бұрын
:-) Thanks! Man, as fun as it is, anything will feel fast after the gogeous little Enfield. The only thing that might tempt me to part with it is if I decide to go for a Dyna! As they say, watch this space ...

streetbob883 thanks for the info, I might have to get this for mine
@homiedntplydat29 жыл бұрын
Hey man, nice bike!!! How do you like the bars? How narrow do they feel compared to the stock ones and do the mirrors ever hit? Also how stretched out does the brake line get? How's the visibility in the mirrors?
@streetbob8839 жыл бұрын
Hi yeah they take short time to get use to, the mirrors are OK the brake line is just long enough
@homiedntplydat29 жыл бұрын
streetbob883 thank! how do they feel on longer rides?
@streetbob8839 жыл бұрын

@gazzale10 жыл бұрын
Like the bars, how different did it feel when you first changed them from the original ones.
@streetbob88310 жыл бұрын
Hi they are narrower than the standard bars so not as much purchase for maneuvering, but after few rides they were fine.
@gazzale10 жыл бұрын
Think I might get a pair, were they easy enough to fit/ any alterations required?
@streetbob88310 жыл бұрын
*****Hi Gary.No you can fit them straight on but the brake cable is tight so you have to angel them slightly forward, I changed mine later when added risers, and reroute the clutch cable through the forks between headlight and fork leg.
@gazzale10 жыл бұрын
I'm gonna get a pair, I don't mind having to stretch my arms a bit if it saves having to buy longer cables.
@gazzale10 жыл бұрын
Also looking at different air filter cos I hate the big standard thing that's there, everything is so expensive tho.
@Gerardo-qn9yq4 жыл бұрын
Hi man, so this is a 6" z bar with the original native risers?
@streetbob8834 жыл бұрын
Hi Yeah original risers but I did swap them later for slight pull back ones but put them on facing the other way to make the clock lie down flat. It looked much better.

Hey Streetbob883 ... thanks for this Video... I think about buying a alternative Zbar, in Germany you can´t ride Biltwell :-/ Can you plz tell me how tall are you? I wonder because you drove the bike with Z-Bar an middle controls. Thank you!

@ph1losoph6 жыл бұрын

I have a 48 with basic bar. and I am going to change to the bar like your HD (Chizeled Lo Handlebar), is it much easier to ride with long tour? I am only 1m67 tall.
@streetbob8837 жыл бұрын
Hi I found them ok. It depends how you set up the rest of the bike, I Lowered the back end with burley brand 10" shocks and had 2" tank lift and 3" reversed riser.
