Great video - Do the brake lever and clutch lever offer adjustments to position? I'm 5'11 and I sat on a Sportster with mids and found both pegs to be too high to reach without lifting my leg. Would need them to go a solid 1" south. Any insight into adjustability?

Sorry for the delayed response. It is a bit higher and after installing it on the bike I had made a few adjustments to get it just right

What does it look like ? Make video reviewing the differences in hand, back , feel, comfort , and if it made a difference . Don’t forget how tall you are .

I was wanting mid controls for mine but as a taller person I think I’m going to stick with the stock forward controls for sure

I'm sure the ride is a lot better for you with forward control. I don't think you would like the mids Being that you are taller guy.

If your interested. Kodlin makes a 1 inch rear suspension lift for the sportster S. Will give you more ground clearance for corners

Sorry for a late response on this but I don't. I can tell you that you have better control of the bike with the mids. I don't regret making the mod for this.

I have bought a set of the mid controls, and it looks like you used the original brake line if I’m not mistaken, I was thinking of doing the same if possible because I didn’t want to piss around. How did you find it was to bleed the brakes, could you do it just like normal?

I didn't use the original brake lines. The new mid-control kit brings a set of brake line so it was wise for me to do it right. Bleeding the brakes wasn't too bad at all. In fact I thought it was pretty easy.

It was quite a bit of money for the mid. And it could have been a lot more if the dealer had done it. The sundowner seat is worth the money and very comfortable for sure. Highly recommend 👌

Did you use lock-tight on any of the bolts, and do you even own a Torque Wrench ???

@@rockermotorider Someone mentioned why aren't the mids Stock ??, The only Answer is BECAUSE H-D MAKES YOU BUY THEM, AND CHARGE YOU AN EXTRA $700 TAX. And I didn't hear you mention anything about torque ratings when you were wrenching them back on. Frankly, you didn't even have a torque on the video

Sir When you change your Mid Controls on Sportster S Did you have an ABS error or did you take your Sportster to HD Dealership to Flash or Remove the ABS error while changing the mid control. Please let me know. Thank you

I didn't have any errors at all but but to avoid that what I did was I left the 02 sensor connected to the exhaust system

I forgot to mention that the sportster S had a recall and Harley Davidson dealership had to reflash The software To a new version

The recall stems from an issue with the TFT instrument cluster, which may not display the speedometer and neutral indicator at startup, when ambient temperatures are below 32 degrees Fahrenheit (or 0 degrees Celsius). the issue happens only at freezing temperatures. Once the bike is running, the instrument cluster warms up from operation, following which the speedometer and neutral indicator are displayed.

It's a sports bike, in the Sports category on the HD website, yet, it comes with forward controls. Fine. I understand that, everyone has their own preferences, but at least give people the option, when they order to choose if they want forward or mid controls at no extra cost. but NO, you have to pay extra if you want mid controls. so stupid.

Totally agree with you , Harley Davidson should have give people the option for the controls I had to think really hard On paying that type of money for Mids controls. The price of the mids is too high.
