For some reason it's super satisfying to see you calmly demolish the plastic bits off the bottom of the replacement seats

(5:48) me and the mrs was watching you welding the seats i told her to look away so the welding flash doesn't get her, so she did ROFL..

Very nice innstallation! I am putting in a pair of Range Rover seats in my Ford transit and it would be nice to see a description on how it actually works bypassing the «memory stuff» If you have a note or schematic drawing you could share with me that would be awesome!
@Everlanders5 жыл бұрын
I used the wiring diagram from Ford for the memory seats versus the nonmemory seats... I have no information to share regarding range Rover seats...

Damn good welding beads, No such thing as over kill :) On my homebuilt rock sliders for My Land rover discovery 2 I used about 2.3kg of mig wire :)

Nice job. I'm surprised you didn't install indoor/outdoor carpeting while you had the old seats out. :)
@Everlanders5 жыл бұрын
We specifically chose a truck without carpet. The rubber mat is super easy to clean when we track in sand and mud.

You can add heaters to the seats (ebay) if they dont have them.

nice weld. what gas are you using? i have a cheap welder and it's loud and welds are garbage.... but that could be my lack of experience lol

Thanks! It's a 300amp Miller TIG machine running 100% Argon on loan from the best friend in the world. I cut my teeth on Aluminum (AC (Loud)) with this machine so switching to DC on steel was a walk in the park.

Do you think those seats would fit in a E-450, or are truck and van seats vastly different sizes?
@Everlanders6 жыл бұрын
Should be fine.

Why not replace the floor mat while the seats are out?
@Everlanders5 жыл бұрын
The mat was in fine shape, replacement wasn't required. We certainly wouldn't want carpet for Overland life... With the mat, It's easy enough to sweep out the sand or let the mud dry and then sweep it out.
