slow your roll on that one dude😂😂 how can he be the greatest coach in any sport of all time when almost nobody knows who he is.
@Bobbarker23455

@@collin9289 that's a stupid statement. First of all he is very well known, second like what does ppl knowing you have to do with how great you are?? The stats speak for themselves. These are not exact but i belive his record is like 1,080 wins 130 losses thats the greatest record in sports ever. You clearly don't no anything.

bob barker your acting like womens college basketball is an elite sport that takes a mastermind to coach it. Winning in womens basketball is like winning a rec game- it means nothing because the competition is nothing.

i love his mindset and wish it was a standard for every coach, starting in little league!
@gobuckeyes997

You can't have that mindset in little league no matter how they perform or act. Most leagues you have to play them so many minutes. And parents make this very difficult too

Most little league coaches feel the need to win their games to make up for their lack of athletic ability when they were kids.

I stand two feet firm with his mindset. I am the same way with my team. We had to park the negative attitude in order to win the championship this year and we did. We picked team over attitude and we won.

What every great coach does... recruit and develop players who fit his/her idea of excellence. He seems to be more committed to a standard than most. Many top players don't pass his no visible tattoo ban... A few are allowed to tape over them.

I wish he was a fly on the wall at my high school when I was on the team. We probably would've had 5 guys out of 25 left. Our coaches always made excuses for the kids that didn't care who were the supposedly "best in the school". The ones they put so much effort into the "me" players, while they mocked them behind their backs and attempted to sabotage everything the coach did. Man, to have a coach that actually was that analytical would've went way further than just the coach that cared about winning. Sometimes, you have to get rid of your "talent" to actually have success.

A lot of people only see the end result. They never see the real work that went into it.

Hes like Nick Sabin, all the great players want to play there because its their best chanch to build a super team of talent and win a ring, when all the best talent goes to your team you cant help to win.

It matters more than you'd think in a team sport. Especially when anyone on your roster can contribute to winning.

It's a great mindset * in theory * but remember, you also need really good players and that by its very nature is a selfish task of practice, self discipline, time management..so in some ways these kids are pulled in every direction. Be great, but not too great, care about yourself but not too much about yourself. It's hard because it's two very different worlds

A great player that is a great teammate is a coach's dream. A great player that is selfish is a locker room cancer.
