Ignition sources have been present for decades. It’s the extreme dryness and wind that is very different. If the landscape was normal, any arson fires would fail or be mild in comparison. Sorry for the folks buying into arson conspiracies, it’s possible that all this suspicion and distrust stems from the intrusive pandemic debacle. If we as humans take zero action on stopping the causes of man-made climate change, the we take an enormous gamble on Mother Nature itself and all future generations of our children. If you are one who is labelling climate change as a hoax, if this turns out to be wrong, then you will have functioned as a parasite to the planet and destruction of nature. Listen man, public distrust has been around way longer than the 'pandemic'. You're right about climate change being man-made, it certainly is, just like the dozens of other government approved finger pointing at the general public and civilians that's backed by Science™. The amount of data cherry picking and revised models over the decades is at this point becoming an insult to 3rd graders. When something is forced, stinks and every media outlet repeats it like a parrot, you can't blame skeptics any more, and sure as hell can't blame anyone else for following outright disbelief in established institutions. You know they've been captured, ivy league academia doesn't even pretend any more, most of their representatives just stay silent when confronted. Even if you doused an acre of woods in gasoline 10 years ago, our firefighters could have shut it down. It's been a decade of record breaking heat and it has consequences for underbrush and trees who are so dry they go up like a box of matches.
