Pramod friend, I live in Brazil and I am a big fan of Indian culture and folklore! Ravi Shankar is one of my favorite musicians and dancers like Madhavi Mudgal, Alarippu, Savitha Sastry and Sujata Mohapatra fascinate me with their art. It's all so ethereal, as you said, that brings me to the essence of humanity! Millenarian art that elevates our souls ... If you can recommend me more about the culture of India, I thank you.

I am glad that this piece is back up on KZbin. It brings out the best in Indian dance. The short sequence at the ten minute mark is particularly expressive. I suspect Mudgal's genius at play here. Very, very well done. Nice to see good camera work and sound capturing this wonderful performance. I salute you, Ms. Madhavi Mudgal.

Dear Sir, It is certain that the choreographer has a strong musical and Upanishadic knowledge which she/he has applied. The sloka , thadEjathi , thannaijathi , marks the dawn of knowledge in the realm of brahma gnana , a beginning point where there is light but also a component of darkness. this mantra is tuned to Raga Bhoopal , which in music is the rAgA of early morning or twilight hours or Dawn. The mantra "pUshann EkarshE , I perceive is the Climax of realisation where the seeker solemnly asserts "Purushah , sah , aham asmi , and while doing so , great people say he/she enjoys extreme ecstasy . Choice of Raag Durga , which is played during very auspicious moments of rituals such as tying of Mangal sutra in marriages is an Apt choice. More so , Raag Durga creates extreme happiness while hearing. Good job by the mudgals. Regards Ravi Srinivasan

@@SPOTFILMS thank you so much dear Pramod, realy you cant imagine the powerfull and deep feelings i have for my sweet mother Bharat, i believe from previous life. I am a student of Bharatanatyam and Kathak. We are having a tough decision deciding where to go in India. We are afraid of mosquitos in Bhubaneswar, we are very atracted to the south specialy Tamil Nadu, Chidambaram and Pondycherry, but after lots of meditation we decided for Uttar Pradesh, the Lucknow area, and the reazon is that Kathak originated there. We would fly to Dheli, and then Mathura, Lucknow. It is so nice of you to give us your number, big honor. Likewise if you come to Mexico, which isthe true brother of Bharat. 9841692050 with whstsaap. Dear Sergio Chavez, Nice to hear that you plan to come to India and go to Mathura and Lucknow. The best time to go to these places is winter months between November until February. Mathura is a four hour road journey from Delhi or even an early morning train that goes to Agra and stops at Mathura. Lucknow will also be good during winter months. You may find these places a bit over crowded...but they have their own charm...my mobile no. is +91 9891594662. My mail address is: mathur.pramod@gmail.com It is also for whatsapp. Do feel free to message me or call me if you have any questions or problems during your stay in India. @@SPOTFILMS it was in 2013 when I watched the "Life of Pi" movie in Brazil, where I was born. I was astonished, mesmerised by the short Bharatanatyam scene, which was something completely new to me. After doing some research I came across Savytha Sastri's videos and eventually came to find your video, which I quite enjoyed. I saved my videos in a pen drive and moved to the UK. I thought I had lost it when I got here. Ever since, I've made many friends from different parts of India, but the fact that I had lost my favourite Bharatanatyam videos frustrated me. Luckily enough, I found my pen drive three days ago and relocated your channel by researching: "Odisdi I am that". Now I can share these songs with my 9 months son who is already appreciating hus fair share of Indian classical music. :) And here I am. Grateful!
